Hi Jenn - these are great resources. I'm still fairly new and trying to figure it out so this list of resources is really helpful to outsource questions. Thank you for pulling these together.

I don't have a problem with them making money but sure, they should've been upfront and transparent from the beginning. However, I kind of have to agree with maryhruth and honestly think if pinners were to get a cut it could severely ruin the way Pinterest is being used now. I can understand if a blogger is doing an affiliate program with a company and pins a product that takes the pinner back to their blog/website with the affiliate link and that link is changed by Pinterest so they get the credit - then that would be an issue. I'm not sure if I'm understanding this right however.
I think people fear the negative side of it. I am more apt to buy a book or a service that has a few negative reviews than 100% positive reviews. When people see the negative they can actually are able make judgement calls for themselves a lot easier. I think marketers don't give that benefit of doubt to the consumers. Also, maybe marketers are just too worried about losing control. They feel they need to control the conversation, control their image rather than guide conversations and supplement their image. They don't trust consumers to do the talking. Marketers are people, consumers are people - once marketers understand that I think it'll be easier to be transparent.
I personally think discussions are too hard to follow on podcasts. Interview style gives the listener structure and one person talking at a time. I think there are just too many things up in the air if you produce it as a discussion. Let the discussion take place in your blog comments or on Twitter/Facebook. Discussion is the fun part but podcasts should be informational and easy to follow.
Jay - this is my dream post. Simon Cowell's ego, college basketball, making me feel better I don't have an official social strategy for my small biz . . .not to mention I was just shopping around this morning for management software. How timely, thanks for quips and for sharing. I look forward to going through the report

Also- can you elaborate on tools and processes? Are you speaking to paid analytics/measurement applications - if so, which ones have you seen that work best in the past? There are so many out there it's hard to know which ones you really need or which ones are best.
Thank you for writing this post, I'm really enjoying seeing the way others put their plan together, especially someone with a more traditional marketing background.
Under your bullets for tactics section, you mention "Provide sharing incentives" - what incentives have you used in the past to help with this? Are these relevant for B2B and/or B2C? I understand the reason it works and how they're helpful but I guess I'm just unsure on how to roll something like this out in a way that's manageable.
Thank you again!
