Oh, soup! I love soup! Thanks for gathering all these recipes! My current favorite is leek soup in a mushroom broth with scallions, carrots and pasta. A little parmigiana cheese on top, a piece of bread--and I'm in heaven :)

I remember that tuna casserole! We had it on Friday nights - and sometimes, my mother would put crushed potato chips on top. Sounds weird, but I liked it as a kid :)

But my favorite childhood food memory involves Sunday night deli sandwiches - hot pastrami on rye with mustard - yum!

Great post, Peg, and lots of good advice. Raising children gets more and more complicated as kids get older, and teen behavior can be quite a surprise for many parents. It's a challenge, but I think kids need us most when they're pushing us away.
