I also hear askkim - CL is what helped us build our blog communities.
You also saw my recent post about having to delete that many comments and the amount of bandwidth they eat up; in that respect, an external system like this is would be great...

CL income? Hard to say - I think it was both email list and blog, but I'd say mostly email list.
I think the main difference is in our traffic sources, Justin.
I've heard that SU traffic is notoriously low to convert...

Of course, much of SEO depends on the overall domain authority. I haven't checked yours, but that's always a great reason for higher rankings.
Also, Google likes to add fresh entries to the first page, I hope you'll be able to maintain the rankings in the long run.
