What we need.
Kidd ain't gettin' it, and you ain't gettin' it, either, foo'.
More excited about Patty Mills, to be honest.
I forgot I was on ProjectSpurs.
@rtesoro440 lol
they won't last together.
@ReneJasso I'm getting it, too. For seriously. :D
@rtesoro440 @ajd21 i'd love to see Scola in a Spurs uniform, but that wish seems bleak--let it go. there is no way in hell our Spurs will waste their one time chance at amnestying a player all willy nilly like that; however, i truly believe our front office is playing the waiting game. IF Scola becomes a free agent, that's when we'll zoom in for the deal to acquire him at veteran's minimum--maybe more if he co-operates and will make us comfortable at amnestying someone.
@ajd21 he's actually a pretty good defender because of his big body. he does struggle against the really tall ones with long arms like bynum, but not every team has a bynum type player on their roster. blair has a good feel for the game that you can't teach. he was a draft steal no doubt about it. i still think he's a great addition to any team.
i don't blame blair. i wanted to see him play against okc, but that didn't happen. he's a good player, but everyone knows the spurs are trying to get rid of him, so we don't have the leverage in negotiating to get something decent.
@rtesoro440 @Spursfan66 Uhm. That's never going to happen. Waiving Blair would be incredibly stupid. He may have fallen out of the rotation, but he's a very good player despite being an undersized big man. Why waive good talent? Neal was playing out of position. He will be more effective once Mills, maybe even De Colo take over the back up PG. Why do you want to break up a team that was a few calls away from being Western Conference champs? As tempting as Scola is, it's stupid to gamble like that. Maybe Ryan Richards will impress in summer camp?
@rtesoro440 We would never amnesty Bonner to increase our chances at getting Scola, if that's where you're getting at. That isn't Spurs-like. It's just as much of a gamble as the Rockets trying to get rid of Scola to get Howard. Bonner may suck, but he spreads the floor. He would only be expendable if we can get an adequate replacement. Spurs aren't know for making mistakes.
Crossing my fingers that Scola becomes a free agent; however, if the Mavs acquire Scola, that'd suck really big ones.
We still lost, but we don't have any of our top players crying for a trade.
This team has immense heart. While everyone else is joining forces with the NBA's top talent, our Spurs are out there training and playing with an admirable demeanor. I'm proud to say I'm a Spurs fan! We have unfinished business.
Sweet.
Getting Nash for a bunch of mediocre draft picks....wow. If only things would go that way for the Spurs.
