Would he sign with the Heat? He and LeBron have a past. Whether it's still sour or sweet will depend where he will sign if he truly and ultimately wants to sign with the likes of us or the Heat

@minus i completely agree with you. i'll take blair over bonner. call me crazy. idc.
2 years, 6 months ago on Report: Spurs seeking 1st round pick for Blair | July
@rtesoro440 @ajd21 i'd love to see Scola in a Spurs uniform, but that wish seems bleak--let it go. there is no way in hell our Spurs will waste their one time chance at amnestying a player all willy nilly like that; however, i truly believe our front office is playing the waiting game. IF Scola becomes a free agent, that's when we'll zoom in for the deal to acquire him at veteran's minimum--maybe more if he co-operates and will make us comfortable at amnestying someone.
@ajd21 he's actually a pretty good defender because of his big body. he does struggle against the really tall ones with long arms like bynum, but not every team has a bynum type player on their roster. blair has a good feel for the game that you can't teach. he was a draft steal no doubt about it. i still think he's a great addition to any team.
i don't blame blair. i wanted to see him play against okc, but that didn't happen. he's a good player, but everyone knows the spurs are trying to get rid of him, so we don't have the leverage in negotiating to get something decent.
@rtesoro440 @Spursfan66 Uhm. That's never going to happen. Waiving Blair would be incredibly stupid. He may have fallen out of the rotation, but he's a very good player despite being an undersized big man. Why waive good talent? Neal was playing out of position. He will be more effective once Mills, maybe even De Colo take over the back up PG. Why do you want to break up a team that was a few calls away from being Western Conference champs? As tempting as Scola is, it's stupid to gamble like that. Maybe Ryan Richards will impress in summer camp?
2 years, 6 months ago on Deeper look at amnesty candidates reveals Spurs; slim chances at landing big | July
@rtesoro440 We would never amnesty Bonner to increase our chances at getting Scola, if that's where you're getting at. That isn't Spurs-like. It's just as much of a gamble as the Rockets trying to get rid of Scola to get Howard. Bonner may suck, but he spreads the floor. He would only be expendable if we can get an adequate replacement. Spurs aren't know for making mistakes.
Crossing my fingers that Scola becomes a free agent; however, if the Mavs acquire Scola, that'd suck really big ones.
We still lost, but we don't have any of our top players crying for a trade.

This team has immense heart. While everyone else is joining forces with the NBA's top talent, our Spurs are out there training and playing with an admirable demeanor. I'm proud to say I'm a Spurs fan! We have unfinished business.

@Tjaramil True. True; however, that was before Boris Diaw was added to our team. Re-signing Diaw is a big priority, too. After that, Blair fell out of the rotation.
2 years, 7 months ago on Rumors: Spurs interested in Josh Howard again? Green 'perfect fit' for Jazz? | June
@Tjaramil Blair was non-existent in the post-season, and Bonner was close to non-existent when the opposing team played good perimeter defense. I'm fine with trading those two.
I'd thought we would at least try to land a big name like Hibbert. Then we just unload Blair, Bonner, and maybe even Green (sign & trade) for another quality player.
let's just clone tim duncan.

2 years, 7 months ago on Spurs' Parker suing NYC club for $20 million for brawl | June
if we sign him cheap, i'm for it. if he wants the mula, we sign him, he gets his knee re-injured, forces him to be out the rest of the season, then he screwed us up the butt hard. look at what we did this past season. we made it to the WCF. only reason we lost was because a good portion of our bench disappeared. we were up by 2 in the series. duncan's going to re-sign to accommodate more quality players into our roster. let's not make a gamble. again, if it's for veteran's minimum, i'll take him in an instant. anything more than that is a gamble.

We're playing uncharacteristically. I still support my Spurs and still believe we can win this series. Stand your ground, boys! We won't be defeated this easily. I expect a big momentum shift in our house. One thing, though. Why don't we wear black and silver t-shirts to support our team like OKC fans wear blue shirts?

@TEXAS So much hate coming from a fellow Spurs fan. You have no idea how idiotic you sound this is just a ball sport, not street gangs. However, if what TP said would turn out to be somewhat the case, Westbrook would look like a female dog--the ultimate slap to the face losing in the WCF like that. I do expect a motivated Westbrook with team this Sunday. Drama = ratings.
2 years, 8 months ago on Parker being Parker when commenting on Westbrook | May
The hell with what Parker said, Bayless and Smith just argue because their pride is on the line. Whomever wins the argument is clearly what's more important. If the situation was flipped, and Westbrook might've said a compelling remark towards TP, Bayless' POV most likely would've invert, too.

We're too deep for the Clips. Hope we show little signs of rust. Nonetheless, this is going to be a great series. I do expect the Clips to steal one, or the most, two games from us. I hope our Spurs are really, really eager to get back on the court that they just start the series off on FIRE!

There is no doubt that we wont allow the Griz to escape us another year in a roll* Sorry for the mistyped sentence.
2 years, 8 months ago on Is Spurs-Grizzlies rematch looming? | May
I agree with facing a lackluster Clippers team as a logical idea, but our Spurs haven't played in forever. I think we've already had more rest than required. Now, how does this relate to the opposition of facing the Clips? I would rather face the Griz because, yes, of the "revenge" factor. BUT, here's my idea: it will give our Spurs motivation. We might be rusty, and we need that extra inspiration to give it our all. This is the play offs, and the Clips might pull an upset on us if we get too cocky by saying we'd prefer them because they lack the caliber the Griz have. Revenge will fuel our Spurs. There's no doubt we are letting the Griz escape us another year in a roll. Revenge is motivation.
@kmgospurs I'm content with him scoring in double figures along side 7 other spurs players. Team chemistry is better than a dynamic duo like OKC's.
2 years, 8 months ago on Parker becomes leader, Spurs better for it | May
@kmgospurs He can still make the offense flow with his passes when he's not scoring. Manu just meshed into the system. I don't see him dominating like last year. He's another complimentary role piece.
@spursfan80 Splitter and Diaw have been doing pretty good. Batum is too expensive. Hibbert is a crack pipe dream. Duncan is still good defensively. Lorbek might be coming in soon.
