Well, I see that student newspapers still write stories to get viewers and readers. Looks the AJC has a fresh new crop to pick from soon. If the paper is still in circulation when they graduate of course.
Love the fact UGA is still Running Back U to recruits NATION WIDE, also good that the top recruits in state need to get on board before the train leaves the station.

Surely Selena Roberts knows that all the voluntary comments by former and disgruntled players will be stamped out and the thing left is smoke. She'll need to find someone that was paid AND is credible. Problem is if a player is paid or had grades changed will not bite the hand that fed them. The culture on the Plaines is very close to the vest and guarded. Until an allegation is brought by a player with ethics and morals this is a dead issue.
What are those, treasure maps?

Thanks for the blast from the past, ecdawg. I had completely forgotten about the AJC and their "sports" writers. Ahh, reminds me of the email I sent to Rabun Towers II years ago asking him.if he went by "Chip" because he continued to try to tear the UGA football program down one piece at a time. Memories, sweet memories.
When will UGA hire a lawyer like Huntley Johnson who is on retainer with the University of Florida? Probably right after they hire "analysts" for recruiting. If only UGA had the financial resources the big schools in the SEC have(sarcasm).

Great write up. Stars are for subscriptions and all SEC players are for championship caliber teams.
That's a new low even for Coach Saban. Setting up players that underachieve so he can take their scholarship away and make room for new recruits. Shame, shame, Saban.
A little dramatic for my taste in a DC, but college assistants need to position themselves to take advantage of situations. That said, Coach Bobo has done it the right way in my opinion. He's taken a beating in the press from Monday morning QBs and handled himself very professionally and kept his side of the ball progressing every year. For that he will be rewarded financially. I hope Coach Grantham realizes that he has a long row to hoe and won't be able to rely on JJ to save the day with an INT, FF or sack. If this defense is gutted by the run like Kentucky, the shine will be off Coach Grantham he won't know what happened. Imagine a Dawg World were Coach Bobo is the revered assistant under Coach Richt. Coach Grantham has the players, its time to earn his pay check. Proof will be in the pudding this year with all eyes on the DC with the wandering eyes.
Great post, ecdawg. The thing I love most about this class is every single one wanted to be a Dawg. No hat games, no choosing between UGA, UF, GT, USCe, FSU and Clemson. The fact two "targets" went to Awbun and Old Mess is something I'll never understand, but hopefully they'll get a great education in how it feels to have "buyer's" remorse. Good class and now its time for these kids to be coached up and become SEC caliber players and quality men. Go Dawgs !
@WalktheDawg named Whisky Nah, I'll clear it up for you Whisky. I love the walk-on gunners and fullbacks, always have. However, only signing 15-18 high school recruits and then giving 5-8 walk-ons that are using the HOPE scholarship an athletic scholarship is RIDICULOUS. Sign full classes of high school and JCs and reward the walk-ons at the end of their careers if you'd like. That clear?
@ecdawg If he can compliment the work Coach Friend has done on the other side of the ball UGA will begin to build the trenches to compete at a high level in the SEC and nationally.
