@Longball FYI, the game ended shortly after the 3rd quarter ended. There was probably 7-8 minutes left in the 4th quarter when they just called the game.
@Longball Weather was the most likely culprit. The local news predicted rain, so I'm guessing everyone made other indoor plans ahead of time.

I, for one, HATE recruiting (as you all know). But, with that being said, I am spending the day at Northern Quest on Wednesday, so which names (besides Mayle) should I be looking for? Who should I get excited about?
@SeanHawkins I'm still kicking it... especially when whether or not its a 1st down is dependent on an arbitrary spot the officials will set the ball on. Its just my opinion.
@SeanHawkins I think anytime you can get points (unless its like 35-0 in the 3rd), you take them. You NEVER know how the final score will end up. I know its easy to say it now, but I said it as we were going for it on 4th and inches.
We kick that FG (assuming it goes in, of course) and we are up 4 with 31 seconds left. Much harder go to 70 yards for a touch in 31 seconds than it is to go 30 yards for a FG attempt. :(

My inside sources tell me that Bruggeman will be given every opportunity to be the starter at QB from day 1... Halliday and Apodaca might be screwed.

The transfer is of course assuming he's already graduated from WAZZU, and can enter a "graduate program" at Iowa State.
If Tuel is somehow granted a 6th year of eligibility, he should transfer to Iowa State. They have an out-going senior QB, and the offense is ran by Sturdy. Its a perfect fit for him. The way the fans have treated him over the years ("he's Big Sky talent"), especially in 2012 ("put in Halliday"), we don't deserve any successes that he has. We should turn the page in 2013 with Bruggeman/Apodaca/Halliday and go from there.
As far as the conference schedule goes, I have an even better idea... the B1G, SEC, PAC-12 and ACC (all with 16 teams) need to just leave the NCAA altogether and create their own money-machine and cut the NCAA/BCS out of the picture completely. Then it won't matter (# of conference games), because we'll have a flipping playoff to decide a winner.
@Sutra @SeanHawkins I read somewhere that Akey was staying in the Palouse until his kids graduate, he didn't want to move them around. I personally think he'd be a great hire to coach LBs.
Gesser, on the other hand... can he coach inside receivers? I don't know a lot about that position, but it doesn't really seem to fit in my dumb mind. Don't get me wrong, I'd love him on the staff, but I don't think inside receivers is the right fit?
