@MrsMcCheese @LP66 @FlowerPower I think it was mostly a low-risk, high-reward trial to see if it could solve the 2nd line dilemma. Would not be too surprised if he doesn't play again for the Pens (barring injuries)

Anyways, was fun chatting with you all, hopefully today marks the last day that the team forget what shaky Defense and Goaltending is.  Still have faith in this team, but they need to turn in around pretty fast if they don't want to end up golfing again this summer.

GO PENS GO!

@MrsMcCheese @LP66 @FlowerPower Yeah I think Vitale brings more as a 4th liner that what Boychuk does, not seen alot of him play but he doesn't look like a 4th line type.

@MrsMcCheese @LP66 @FlowerPower At this point, it could be worth a try. You would have him center the 3rd line in place of Jeffrey? I think Jeffrey showed some good things since coming back to the lineup.

@MrsMcCheese @LP66 @FlowerPower We'll have to trade for a center for Neal with TK while Geno is resting.

@mahstah Also still like the way Despres played. He had a couple of solid hits and I remember seeing only 1 turnover coming from him. ended up +2 with an assist on the OT goal. not too bad.

@mahstah @FlowerPower I saw him broke a couple of cross-ice pass in front of the net which I really liked because how many of those would have ended up in the net tonight, I don't know.

@MrsMcCheese @LP66 @FlowerPower I just wonder if any attempts have even been made to try and see if there is any chemistry.. I would not believe that Sid would have too much trouble getting him the puck. That's pretty much all you can ask him if you want to have Neal as your trigger man.

@MrsMcCheese @FlowerPower @LP66 He only played a few shifts at the end of the 3rd with Sid and Koon. Which is also unbelievable to me why would you leave him on the 2nd line when you dont have Geno. I love Pascal, but if you have the luxury to put Neal there, do it

@MrsMcCheese @FlowerPower I would be careful before saying Therien has been doing great with his new team. So far so good, but at the end of the season, we will see where they stand. It one thing to have a good start, but can they keep it up? If they do, I'll be the first to credit Therrien for their success, but the Habs had one of the most easiest schedule for the first 2 months, I am curious to see how well they will fare when they really start to play 2 games in 2 nights (like they do tomorrow) and 3 games in 4 nights on road trips. Eventually, they will also have to play their backup goaltender and that could get ugly quite fast.

@MrsMcCheese @LP66 I think a lot of that has to do with how the opposing team now has only 1 line to kinda really pay close attention. In past seasons, opposing teams would still have to respect a 2nd line with Staal on it.

Well, let's put this one behind us and focus on what's coming next. A few rough games coming up, let's hope the team gets it together soon.

@KyleSchroeck @Mr. Confidence @MrsMcCheese But they wont last long if they allow 5-6 goals every night. We'll take the 2 points, but they have to step it up or else upcoming weeks will be rough on all of us
