@scobleizer  @mattcutts Good points -- could not agree more -- and too, most are built from one pivot to the next.  Each build happening well before the launch.

The reality depends on the quality of the content. Once a month seems to be the norm, but that's because most newsletters are full of nothing buy promotions.  Including the content a user actually wants, allows one to not only increase frequency, but it also will drive much higher engagement.

I really liked your article.  As the CEO of xydo.com, who has been in the content marketing space for almost 3 years, this clearly is an emerging space.  We are finding that curated content in newsletters, social posts and blogs, is really starting to take off.  Mix in a little of your own orginal content and the magic really starts to happen.

Love to discuss, pls hit me up if interested.

William,

We've been in the content curation space for about 3 years now over at xydo.com.  We've found that it's use in newsletters, blogs, social posts and other truly make a difference.  Still the real trick is in the blend of 3rd party content with a little orginality of your own.  Love to discuss, hit me up if interested.

Holden,

I'm Eric, CEO and co-founder of XYDO. Thanks for the candid feedback. As you may be aware, we are soon approaching a public launch where everything will be opened up. The change you are requesting as to landing on your personal feed is in the works. We are also changing a few of the sort headers and would love to get your feedback after that has been completed.

XYDO ranks content in the streams by what we call social endorsement. Meaning every piece of content has been touched - tweeted / shared/ voted by a real user. We also have the ability to drill down via implicit actions as you describe and are actively investigating that as well.

Thanks again... Eric
