So anyone know why we're spending tax money to intervene in Syria while people are out of work here?

@MikeAlan1 "The guy is no kid anymore and he is serving our country as leader of the defense department." Did you know he's a traitor to the nation and he has told Congress that the UN and NATO now control the US military?

He's not being attacked for his party affiliation, he's being attacked for being a traitor to the nation, saying the UN now declares war instead of Congress, and wasting taxpayer money. Have some dignity and stand up for your country.
He's a traitor to the nation. First he tells congress they've lost the power to declare war and now he decides with the UN, then he wastes the nation's money. He should be in jail for life
If the esteemed Nobel Peace Prize winner continues to wage wars without Congress, he may be impeached (assuming Congress grows a pair).

@QCoverage Iran isn't either, not unless Israel gives them a reason to. By the way, that Ahmadinejad speech was mistranslated, but even it wasn't, he doesn't have the final say in Iran.
@QCoverage "The Iranians admit they have a nuclear reactor and are enriching uranium so they definitely have a nuclear program" I'm still waiting for you to show that they have a nuclear WEAPONS program. You said they have a nuclear reactor, ok that doesn't mean it's used for weapons. You said they are enriching uranium, ok it doesn't suggest it's used for weaponry until a certain percentage of enrichment. You said they have a nuclear program, ok that's not the same as a nuclear WEAPONS program."and come on every country that has nuclear plants also has a weapons program."You're lying, Japan has the capability but no weapons.
@AllanErickson@EditorJP "one is a state sponsor of terrorism which murders people daily, treats women like cattle, hangs homosexuals and promises nuclear war. "Are you describing Israel? It sponsors terrorist groups (MEK), it murders people daily (Palestinians), and promises to grind Iran under its boot if it even thinks about advancing its nuclear technology. By the way, can you show me evidence of Iran's leadership promising nuclear war?"The other made the desert bloom, treats Arabs better than any place on earth, foster democracy and freedom and prosperity, remains our long-term ally, exports food, gives charitably to the Palestinians, gives land for peace, and has more patents per square mile than anywhere on the planet. "I bet you believe the US spread democracy too, right? You're using confirmation bias, you just ignored Israel's ties to terrorism."Furthermore, Netanyahu has never declared war, lied to us, broken his word or otherwise given cause to distrust. Ahmadinejad and the Mad Mullahs do it daily."
How would you even know if he hasn't lied to us unless you had access to every record in the State Department and other correspondence with Israel? Do you realize how much you are assuming you know?
@MortimerSanderson I was referring to MEK -- "But, though Jundallah's means are utterly evil, some of their ends are just" the same can be said of the Taliban
@MortimerSanderson @Reality_Check_t Are you using the Bush logic of with us or against us?
@Lee_Gran @Reality_Check_t Your implication is that killing 500,000 children was worth it because they would have been killed anyway and we have prevented future deaths, right? Who is leading Iraq now? There is more Sharia law and sectarian violence has increased. Have we instituted a better system than the one before? We don't know because after 10 years the country still hasn't stabilized.
@bitpip It's a contingent statements though. The decision has been made if we let them make it. A revolution could cure the madness
@Reality_Check_t But seriously, the US killed 500,000 innocent children in Iraq in the 90s. I don't want to see that repeated.
@AllanErickson @EditorJP So you're going to trust the word of the Israeli PM over the word of Iranians because....?
@EditorJP @Mitch Schapira @CSears @Abo @RobertNoth "Because Israel is going to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran is justified in launching a pre-emptive, cataclysmic attack against the Jewish state, the doctrine argues."This is from the article you linked to. So who's the aggressor in this picture? You just shut yourself up
@Reality_Check_t I expect someone who tortures and assassinates people to have none
In other news, Iran is concerned that the US, which has funded terrorist groups and committed genocide in Iraq will build nuke number 8,001.
@EditorJP @Abo "stop their nuclear weapons program " which nuclear weapons program? I bet you believed the TV when it told you Iraq had nukes too.
@Mitch Schapira @CSears @Abo @RobertNoth Iran never vowed such a thing. You fell for the propaganda, it's a mistranslation by someone who doesn't even have the final say in the country's matters
