PROBABLY TO LA RIGHT YOU GUYS
1 day ago on Joe Maddon is now a free agent, are the Dodgers next?
@Jacopo (How is this a bad plan!) i'm all for eating things that are terrible for me, but that doesn't even look like it'd taste good.
@DodgerDawg @Mike Petriello he did! asked for a second.
@DodgerDawg my 91 year old grandfather swore he'd never had a taco in his life until i made him one last month

@foldamort how is that cryptic?
@Disgruntled Goat what if both are in LA
1 day, 2 hours ago on Joe Maddon is now a free agent, are the Dodgers next?
@Literally PFP @Mike Petriello @DeliMan of Baseball Related Sorrow he will, because he's more valuable and starts from a higher base. I don't think he'll get his quite doubled, though.
@Literally PFP @DeliMan of Baseball Related Sorrow @Mike Petriello he's not a free agent though, and he's got no track record or leverage or bargaining power. It's not what he "should" get. It's what he "can" get.
@Literally PFP @Mike Petriello well first of all, it won't be in arbitration. The Dodgers haven't gone there since 2007. So the team and player will agree, likely to a one-year deal, maybe to a two.
If they came together on one year, $2m, that'd be a nice get for Turner. I bet it'll be 1/$1.8m or something.
@Literally PFP @Mike Petriello i bet you all of the dollars he does not. That's not how arb works.
@Literally PFP @Mike Petriello without a lot of HR, in 300 PA. Not saying he won't get *a* raise, but he's not going to triple or quadruple his $1m salary or anything.
@Literally PFP I actually don't think Turner gets that big a raise at all.
@ tomato he's only been there one year. Can't judge him based on record with that roster and the trades they made.
@Lobo @Mike Petriello @HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex hockey.
@HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex this guy is a huge troll, was caught in a big anti-stats Leafs thing last year
@JackedNate Friedman is the GM. Not in title, obviously, but there's not a ton of difference between pres baseball ops/GM and GM/aGM relationship.
@Chad Moriyama wha?
@Chad Moriyama @Mike Petriello yeah, but if their shiny new expensive president of baseball ops says "this is a move i want to make," you really think they'll shoot him down so quickly?
@- Casey - I think it's a good sign. It means that Maddon really thought Friedman was a huge part of TB success and worried about what would happen without him.
@Condorave @Chad Moriyama because Rosenthal probably talked to a friendly source in the Dodger org to ask if they were interested
@Chad Moriyama my best guess: he takes a year to chill at his beach house, waits for either Scioscia or Mattingly to implode after 2015.
@Chad Moriyama maybe, but the fact that Friedman said nice things about Mattingly last week doesn't really matter.

@Lobo that would be pretty dumb, no? His bosses have said all the right things. Can't control what others say.
@Literally PFP literally the only person who should be unhappy if that changes now is Mattingly.
@Lobo @Mike Petriello look at the date

Pfft, the 3D fad is so played
Considerably less than that, probably.
@efb not really. i was away last weekend, so happy to be home.
@DBrim along with some fun chad tweets
@DBrim guess what, this just made it into the review
I'm writing Triunfel's review. Inexplicably fun.
@ tomato i absolutely cannot
@ngross32 @Mike Petriello @Dustin Nosler Yeah, to be fair, trading for Victorino wasn't the worst idea in the world. He was very good for the Phillies, and he was great for the Red Sox last year. Just didn't work out in his brief time in LA.
1 day, 4 hours ago on Look At All These Mediocre Players Making What Andrew Friedman Is
@ngross32 @Dustin Nosler fortunately, none of the players sent to the Phillies have amounted to all that much.
@BlueMarvin I think that's true. I CAN'T BELIEVE AROD IS MAKING $25M. well, yeah, but what would really be different if he was making $5m? it's still more money than any of us can ever dream of. Once you get past a certain point, it's all funny money anyway.
