I'd have to agree with CHSIndustrial, you missed the point of the Paleo diet/lifestyle. I've been on it for 2 years and my favorite thing about it is the ability to tailor it to your personal needs/goals. The only rules are to eat whole, natural, unprocessed foods. Sure there are rough guidelines to macronutrient intake, and generally fat should be up around 60% (it provides satiety and energy) but you can easily get the carbs you need by just eating more sweet potatoes, squash, or even quinoa/wild rice if you really need it. What I really don't understand is your claim that you were consistently hungry. I'm not sure how you could relate that to your diet as its a pretty simple concept, eat more food. There are no caloric restrictions on the paleo diet. It's a shame you missed out on a great lifestyle seemingly due to poor info. Head over to www.marksdailyapple.com. Mark Sisson is the real deal.
