Richardson was not impressive. I see the colts' on the waiver wire for offensive line help and secondary as well. I mean it is pre-season, but how do you blow a 26-0 lead in the fourth quarter! Harnisch is awful, he should be cut, and not take up space on the PS. You can add a safety, or an extra cb.

I thought that grigson had another strange and inconsistent draft. There were better players available than the ones he drafted, for example Jackson or Martin. Does the colts' front office know something about these players that the fans don't know?

According to this list, all the wide receivers are practically off the board. I would go with Bryant or Matthews at 59 because this position is deep, and Luck should have more weapons in the passing game. Second choice would be Terrence Brooks from FSU.

Figure the 4th seed, I don't believe the colts will win at Cinncinnati, but I hope I am wrong 100%. The strategy would be to go two minute huddle the whole game, thinking you are going to pass on every down, which opens up the field for Trent and Brown. This is what I would do, PEP, he is other ideas.

There have been rumblings that PEP might be one and done in Indy after this year. He has had problems   adjusting to the schemes and terminology at this level. He is feeling the pressure to succeed as a OC even with Luck, and the same offense at Stanford. I would like to see Rodgers in the game more, along with Rainey in the backfield like Sproles.Kudos to the defense yesterday, they rose up especially the secondary, all were on point and defended their matchups. What happened to Walker on the Titans?

You got this down to a science. He has look good and bad on certain transactions. I wish he had spent the money on sure things like Vasquez or Levitre. What up with that? Redding giving a pep talk to the team at the start of the second -half down 28-0? I never saw Davis play that bad, Austin schooled him and the whole secondary. I don't blame Trent, he has no line in front of him to open up holes for him to go through. You will have to experiment with that line, and find a combination that works, even if you have to sit Satele, McGlynn, and Thornton. Hilton cost the colts a touchdown falling down, when nobody touched him. They have three days to figure it out for the next game. How puzzled did Pagano and PEP look today?

Pep  better come up with a blocking scheme for Quinn and Long, or it will be a long day for Luck. Draw plays and screens out of the backfield to Trent might offset the Ram's pass rush. Credit the coaches for making the right adjustments in the second half. The secondary was awful, and Bethea might be washed up.Pep has to get Trent more touches going to the sidelines and East West to get his motor going, along with third down conversions. I like Griff, let him play the slot, and see what production you get out of him. I think he can make the short catches over the middle, and pick up first downs in short yardage. If you could bring in a dependable tight end as well to help in short yardage. Look for the running backs to catch a lot of balls out of the backfield and screens.

A few points from my perspective about the game. The offensive line is not good enough for run blocking, no holes created. They are better for pass blocking. Pagano is no riverboat gambler, too conservative. Too many drop balls especially from Fleener who might be playing himself off this team next year. Allen is definitely missed. Hamilton has to let luck do more  no huddle offense, it allows him to get into a rhythm. Finally, where the hell was Kavel Connor all game?

The colts are not asking him to be the savior. He will share the carries with Bradshaw and maybe Brown. On goalline and short yardage, you give the ball to Richardson or Bradshaw, and both can catch the ball out of the backfield. I thought this trade was a steal for Indy, the pick might not be lower than a 22nd pick or higher, let's hope so. The bottom line you can not be one-dimensionalbecause it makes defenses easy to prepare for you. The ground and pound attack will keep Luck on his feet, and will set up the play-action passes. Let's see 30 points a game out of this offense.

Your guest on your radio show yesterday stressed this point about the officiating, effecting the integrity of the game. I thought the secondary played shaky again including Toler. I agree with you Greg. They are not utilizing their talent enough in the offense. Luck is a playmaker alone, let him open up the guns in a no huddle especially when you are up 14-0. However, Arians offense made Luck look down the field more for big plays. In today's game, you look to pass in order to set up the run, not the other way around. It will make the run game more effective, because teams won't know what to expect.

I like the pick of Werner at 24 because Grigson is choosing guys that will fit Pagano's system on defense. Even though, Rhodes and Patterson which were appealing picks at this spot were available, he chose a Paul Krueger type player just like in the Raven's system of defense. My pick would have been Rhodes because he is a shut-down corner back. I was surprised he was still there at 24, but the Vikes took him with the next pick.

Now, the draft takes on an even greater excitement because Grigs is not done yet building this team to compete for a super bowl title. Grigson might be looking to shore up the linebacker position vacated by Freeney. I do not believe Hughes will be the next man up at that position. The colts could also use a shut down corner which is imperative in a three-four defense. I like to make a point about Caldwell. He goes to the Ravens , and he starts to open up the offense which helps them win a super bowl. In the super bowl against the Saints, he was totally conservative before half time, and Manning could not get the two minute drill going to get points before the half. Go figure! Do you want to blame Tom Moore? It has been three years, and that game still gets under my skin.
