@Kcat10 Hey, don't get me wrong... I think Fillion would be awesome just like everyone else. I love the guy and I totally see how his personality is exactly right. I'm just saying that Drake, in the game world, looks and acts like he's younger than 40, and by the time they film this movie, Nathan Fillion will be 40 or older. Furthermore, by the time they get to the (god willing) sequels, he'll be even older. I can't see them banking what is basically an adventure flick on a guy who's going to be 50 by the time the 'Drake's Deception' installment comes out... particularly when his love interest is a naive young journalist, and his 'father figure' is a guy who's probably only in his 60s. If they cast Fillion it'll be awesome... I just can't see him being the pick because he's not the age range that's called for.

If the studio wants any of the fans to come and see the film, they'd damn well better cast someone other than Wahlberg. He has none of the charactaristics required to play Drake except the 'serious action hero' bits, which frankly are Drake's least important qualities. Fillion is the right type, but the man is 40 years old... he's not Drake material anymore.
A movie based on a game is intended to capitalize on the fan-base for that game. Taking the movie in a 'new direction' will do nothing but turn it into a cheap summer action film. Stick true to the game, the characters, the story, and the style. Mark Wahlberg ain't it. Also, Emily Rose should certainly be Elena...
