Lebron is creeping up on the All-Time greats, he'll probably finish with 6 or 7 MVPs. Heck, he should have 6 or 7 now, but the writers get tired of voting for the same guy year in and year out.
Don't worry; KD will end up with 3 or 4 himself.

If the Knicks are going to win any game in this series it will be game 3. If the mix of desperation and motivation from the crowd doesn't help them win, nothing will. In most 5-game series, the game that the losing team wins is usually game 3. I hope Carmelo drops 50 and hits the game-winning shot.

I hope Skip is just being provocative; he's starting to become a parody of himself. The stats don't back him up. It might become a problem in the playoffs if Westbrook's shot selection regresses, but KD shooting less than Westbrook is working for now. http://theresastatforthat.blogspot.com/2012/04/nba-does-russell-westbrook-really-need.html
What a class guy. He joins an exclusive club.

Lin's turnover problem is not so bad, his positives outweigh the turnovers he commits.

There’s going to be snubs every year. I’m just glad to see new blood in the All-Star game; a handful of players have dominated the selections over the last 10 years or so.

Congrats to the Texans on the first playoff win; it continues a historical trend. They'll face a tough test against the Ravens, but with Johnson and Foster on the field (combined with a mistake-prone Joe Flacco), anything can happen.

The Pre-Season poll has become less of a predictor of the final rankings in the last few years. But I think this year will be different with so many good players returning to top-ranked teams. I see 4 number ones reaching the Final Four, or at least nothing lower than a 2 seed in the Final Four. http://theresastatforthat.blogspot.com/2011/04/uconnbutler-is-ap-poll-losing.html
Jets/Bills will be an exciting game; they rarely play eachother this late in the season with winning records. They're almost never good at the same time; that's part of the reason why Jets fans don't hate the Bills as much as they hate the Patriots and the Dolphins. If Fitzpatrick can get the ball to the Spiller, Jackson, and/or the TEs, it should be a long day for the Jets. Not to mention that they'll probably get Sanchez to cough up a couple of interceptions.http://theresastatforthat.blogspot.com/2011/11/why-jets-fans-dont-hate-bills.html

Kershaw has won the pitcher's triple crown; the discussion should end there. But for any doubters, here's the cincher: compare how the top three candidates Kershaw, Halladay, and Kennedy fared against the top twenty NL hitters and the rest of the league. Against the rest of the league: OPS allowed was .548, .547, and .601 for Ker, Hal, and Ken, respectively. Now, against the 20 hitters Hal's was .912, Ken's was .948, and Kershaw... .610!
I included Kennedy instead of Lee because of Lee's 17 wins not being enough to beat Kershaw or Halladay. Although I concede that good arguments can be made to include Lee over Kennedy, it doesn't change the fact that Kershaw should win.

The #1 rush offense vs the #1 rush defense. Something's got to give. The rush defense usually wins the battle, but not when the offense has a diverse running attack like the Eagles. Eagles should win this game, and I think Vick will extend drives and keep Dallas' explosive offense off the field.

The worst thing about this collapse was that the Rays didn't play that great down the stretch, just good enough to pass the Sox. http://theresastatforthat.blogspot.com/2011/09/beantown-breakdown-short-history-of.html
This game is not what it used to be. I remember when the Cowboys-Niners game was the highlight of the season. Now its one mismanaged team playing an underachieving one. That being said, the 'Boys should win this one easily.

I'm not a Pirates, but I am a baseball fan. I love that they're in first place, and even if they don't win the division, just being in the race in September would be great. I just hope the starting pitching will hold up. So far this season, they improved more than any other team. I guess I'll be an honorary fan this season

Some All-Star Trivia:
What do John Olerud and John Burkett have in common? 8 other All-Star player pairs share a similar common bond.
BoSoxInjection Good try. You are correct, but there's more. For Burkett and Olerud, 1993 and 2001 were the only All-Star Games they played in. They're on a list with other 8 other player-pairs who have: Only played in 2 ASGs, played in those ASGs at least 4 years apart, and played their first and last ASGs in the same year.
Here is the rest of the list(too much writing to put them all here): http://theresastatforthat.blogspot.com

Kyrie and Derrick are good players, but I don't they would be drafted in the top 5 of most drafts. Maybe the foreign players will surprise us 5 years from now.
