@the Truth Seeker @DanStPeter I would like to suggest, that your lengthy comments would carry more weight if they were more focused. Also, as it appears you have more free time than many of us on the forums, you should do more fact checking prior to posting. We all make errors but many of your errors diminish the overall quality of the message you are having trouble conveying which leads you trying to explain your opinion in numerous ways.
@Batsin_Bellfry Why confuse the issue with facts? ;o)
@Seymour Kleerly @kid721952 Impossible? They did that during Katrina. They are doing it in NY.
@the Truth Seeker @romojo The "red state" mentality idea is a farce. If you look instead at the number of "red counties" in the US you will see the "red state" mentality is wide spread across the entire nation.
@nazlranger that one caught my ear too. Not to worry, shotguns will be the next assault rifle.
@DrBillLemoine @Fleur in Texas @Sparkle58 @Nanny And what is your definition of "responsible purchasing and usage?" Do you know that other forms of murder are higher where guns are not allowed?
@DrBillLemoine @SandyTrank @Sparkle58 @Nanny And since this is a debate forum how exactly do you propose that "crazies" and criminals be prevented from obtaining (notice I stated obtaining and not "buying") weapons?
@DrBillLemoine @PaulMcCallum @Sparkle58 @Nanny And what percentage exactly of your quoted 8000 are innocent deaths?
Yesterday, we warned that Obama was planning on signing nineteen executive orders today. It happened, several orders were signed this morning. The thing is, we didn't get nineteen orders as reports held - we got twenty-three! And they aren't yet even available for review. They are no-where on the White House website, and a representative from the White House told Conservative Action Alerts today that they should be available "in a few days."
@Randy131 We should all be "liking" US Rep Trey Gowdy on facebook for his active participation in these topics!
@Makers I know a woman who was pulled over for using a cell phone and she didn't even have it with her - she had an itch in her ear! The cop demanded she produce the cell phone and only after searching the car gave up and let her go. Warrantless searches are now the law of the land.
Not to worry, body cavity searches will end once the security forces in place are all issued x-ray type machines, which I am sure will be perfectly safe...
It comes down to who we have allowed to vote, and how a large group of citizens with no interest in the free market or self determination and self preservation are becoming a majority. Property requirements to vote were once widespread in America. Some colonies required a voter to own a certain amount of land or land of a specified value. Others required personal property of a certain value,
or payment of a certain amount of taxes. These requirements reflected the belief that freeholders, as property owners were called, had a legitimate interest in a community's success and well-being, paid taxes and deserved a voice in public affairs.
