Sanchez is not my ideal QB , but he works our O better than RG3 worked the skins O,   I would rather have had Foles but mark my words, RG3 was and is over rated just like most of the first rd QBs have been the past few yrs,  that dik from FL st will be the next Jamarcuss Russel too

SMH.......if bradford is our guy and Snaches is our #2.....why this

The Eagles worked out free agent QB Josh Freeman this week.

Philadelphia was actually conducting a private workout with USC WR Nelson Agholor, but Freeman was the one summoned to throw the passes. Freeman is still just 27 and has a huge arm. He's also worked out for the Jets recently. Coach Chip Kelly seems interested in adding another quarterback to his roster. Related: Eagles Source: Dianna Marie Russini on Twitter Mar 20 - 11:40 AM

According to the Union-Tribune San Diego, there's been league-wide speculation that the Chargers "could be serious" about going after Oregon QB Marcus Mariota.

Reporter Kevin Acee's report cites "numerous people in and around the league." The Bolts have scheduled a private workout with Mariota next month. It's unlikely Mariota would fall to the Chargers at No. 17, so a trade up would likely be necessary to secure his services. Per Acee, the speculation comes as Philip Rivers' Chargers future is up in the air. Rivers intends to play out the final year of his deal without an extension, while GM Tom Telesco wouldn't offer a blanket denial that Rivers could eventually be traded. WHY is it every FN year , we , THE EAGLES , have to have some sort of DRAMA ,.........now this is gaining momentum ...............

NBC Washington's Dianna Marie Russini reports there's an "80 percent chance" the Eagles will sign free agent Tim Tebow if they can trade Matt Barkley.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen has reported the Eagles are trying to trade Barkley for a "late" pick, something Russini confirms. If football czar Chip Kelly has serious eyes for Tebow, it's unclear why he wouldn't just release Barkley and his $592,500 salary. He must genuinely believe there's a market for Barkley's services. We find it rather hard to believe. There will undoubtedly be more Tebow updates as the week rolls on. Source: Dianna Marie Russini on Twitter Mar 17 - 6:50 PM

ESPN's Adam Caplan confirms the Browns offered a first-round pick for Sam Bradford.

Per Caplan, the Browns offered their second first rounder, the No. 19 overall selection. The Browns also own the No. 12 pick. It's unclear if the offer came before or after Bradford's trade to Philadelphia. Owner Jimmy Haslam seems hellbent on finding a "franchise quarterback," but only has Josh McCown to show for it. This is something to file away in case Oregon QB Marcus Mariota falls to No. 12. Perhaps Eagles football czar Chip Kelly would then be willing to play ball with the Browns.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Eagles would trade Matt Barkley for "a late draft pick."

Just not a very talented player, Barkley lacks NFL-caliber arm strength and athleticism. The Eagles would do well to get a sixth-round pick for him. He's struggled to beat out G.J. Kinne for third-string duties in Philadelphia, with only Barkley's higher draft status keeping him on the 53-man roster.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ?????

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports free agent QB Tim Tebow is working out for the Eagles on Monday.

Chip Kelly has apparently decided he wasn't already enough of an iconoclast. Essentially banished from the NFL because of his inaccurate passes and unrelenting media frenzy, Tebow has been an ESPN employee since December 2013. In theory, he'd provide the dual-threat element Kelly's offense has mostly lacked since he arrived in the NFL, but Tebow has no semblance of the "repetitive accuracy" Kelly is known to seek. Kelly has become impossible to nail down, but we'd be surprised if he added Tebow to his 90-man roster. Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter Mar 16 - 2:40 PM

Panthers signed S Kurt Coleman, formerly of the Chiefs, to a two-year contract.

The Chiefs signed Coleman off the scrap heap prior to Week 1 last season, and it turned out to be one of their best pickups. Coleman accounted for half the team's interceptions despite playing just 377 snaps. Capable of playing both safety spots, Coleman gives Carolina depth with Thomas DeCoud gone and Roman Harper aging.

I don't know why erryone is making a big deal out of an ACL tear anymore, Apete had two in the same knee , yet he is getting paid and he is still productive. there are plenty of guys who suffered ACL tears and have come back just fine. The Docs have had plenty of experience and the technology has advanced to where they can put an ACL back to normal. So I am not to worried about Kiko , he had a great rook yr , and then blew his ACL , a guy that young with the passion to play will have rehabbed and continued to work out, he should be as productive as his rook yr

Sam Bradford (ACL) is meeting with Eagles brass on Monday to "get on a new rehab track."

Eagles coach/GM Chip Kelly has been lauded for his "football science," but it will be put to the test with Bradford. Kelly has appeared to have some genuine success with keeping his players healthier than the norm, but Bradford is going on 28, and coming off of his second left ACL tear. By Week 1, it will have been 22 months since he last played in an NFL game. Source: The MMQB Mar 16 - 8:57 AM

ESPN's Josina Anderson passes along buzz from the Pro Day circuit that "some coaches" around the league are "not convinced" the Eagles will keep Sam Bradford.

There's belief in league circles that Bradford will be used as trade bait to get to the Titans at No. 2 overall, where Chip Kelly could select Marcus Mariota. Kelly's affinity for Mariota is well known. Kelly has shown he isn't scared to make bold, complicated football decisions. It's anyone's guess as to what he'll do. We also wouldn't rule out a trade up to No. 1 overall. Bradford's pocket-passer style would fit well in new Bucs OC Dirk Koetter's offense. Related: Titans Source: Josina Anderson  Mar 15 - 12:12 PM

Now that DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews are under contract, the Eagles could rescind their restricted free agent tender to RB Chris Polk.

The tender was for one year and $1.54 million. Polk, a bruising short yardage specialist, won't see the ball much if he stays and would probably just cover kicks.
