I'll have to check my Blockbuster @Home service, but hope this one's available; I LOVE first-person horror! I switched from Netflix to DISH last year, since I needed my live sports, news and more, and I was sick of the constant price changes and shifting business model. I have DISH now, and when a few DISH coworkers were talking about BB @Home being less expensive than Netflix, I decided to add it immediately. I have access to over 100,000 movies, games, and TV shows, and since I can get them by mail or streaming live, I can just come home, watch whatever I want live, and switch over to movies later!
While these movies are great, I would NEVER go back to the mall during the holidays, for ANYTHING! Ok, maybe I'm being a bit dramatic, but the Mall represents everything WRONG about the Christmas season. We can buy our presents online or in local stores, and in terms of movies, we are well-covered for Holiday film at home! I work late at DISH most nights, so when I get home I like to watch DVR recordings etc. We set the DVR for PrimeTime Anytime, which automatically records the entire primetime lineup from the big four networks. That gets us a movie here and there, and we still have 2 extra tuners to record other channels, like ABC Family's '25 Days of Christmas'. We love the movies, but the malls make me a major scrooge!
Can't wait to see Bublé school all the amateurs on 'The Voice' tonight! I'll be working late at DISH, but I set my primetime Anytime l;ast week, and I'll be able to watch it on my day off tomorrow! I think this is the eprfect addition to the show, right before the holiday break, and will bring just the right amount of variety to make this show the most-watched tonight! My PTAT automatically records every primetime show from all four major networks, so when I get home, or if I didn't have tiome to set the DVR bevfore leacving the house, I know it'll all be there waiting for me to watch and watch again!
The BCS is on its way out, and everyone will find something new to gripe about next year! Meanwhile, I'm going to make the best of it, and watch as many BCS games as possible this year, if for no other reason than my belief that these mismatches should produce some uncanny results. I just got the Hopper DVR from DISH, and although DISH wants me to work most Saturdays and evenings, I'll be able to find all the bowl games I need with the GameFinder app. I can just push the blue button on the remote, enter the sport, team or date I am looking for, and it lists all available games right there on my screen. It will save me a ton of time; time I'll be able to use mocking the BCS a bit more, lol.
