@score1952 Well, you've made it hard for me to decide which I dislike more, the Cuban-Mavs or the Harden-Rox...I still think it depends on which one we're playing at the time...no, wait. Yeah, that's it. Never mind...

Meh. His demeanor, unfortunately, seemed a bit surly and he seemed to expect more than he earned on the court. As good or better than Ayers skill-wise? Maybe. Attitude? Not so much. Don't think we'll miss him. JMO...

If Kawhi could have defended Lawson's P&R even as well as Green did...Geez, he's really gonna be so totally awesome someday. Scottie Pippen on D, Worthy on O...can't wait. Really enjoy seeing him grow with no ceiling in sight.

And Kawhi's expecting a 5-yr max? Pshaw. Beware of matching any crazy offers, too. If he's healthy, he's regressed greatly from last year's finals. But hasn't everybody but Baynes & CoJo? (And Timmy, of course. God love him.) Otherwise, this team is imploding fast.

And I have been a Spurs fan since before Pop began working his miracles. I just don't know how he's gonna fix this sad, sad situation...

Well, they definitely need some help. He's young and way more athletic than many they have. If they see something they can develop now and for the future, I say go for it. Daye's already gone, but Williams and Ayers and Bonner are giving them nothing and have no upside at all. They'll be gone this summer anyway. Why not one of them now?

P.S. Too bad we couldn't have traded Splitter for last year's model. Tony, too....

If Kawhi is going to be subpar all season and needs an operation, I don't know why they don't fix the hand now and maybe have him back whole for the playoffs. If he's not at least 95-100%, we have no chance to get out of the West...

He can't read the floor well, he can't shoot...still. Has he reached his level of incompetence? I doubt he'll ever make the quantum leap Mills did and, likely, he'll be gone next year. Why would he ever be extended, given what he's shown? The dunk against Ibaka will be known as his apex as a Spur.

IOW, Manu was NOT healthy. End of story. Are you really that desperate for ideas?

Didn't the Spurs give Baynes a qualifying offer? Doesn't that take effect and claim the 15th slot if he doesn't find a job elsewhere?

@24writer @croc No it does not. His attitude does not fit the Spurs way and would be detrimental. His numbers, whatever they are, could not overcome his problems that would destroy team chemistry. As Pop recently said, these are men, not robots. You can't just plug somebody like RJ back in and expect anything buy negative results.

Richard Jefferson would be a huge step backward. He was toxic to what the Spurs try to do, content to lollygag and draw his unearned wages. Sheesh, guys, really.

Kawhi looked tentative and hesitant. Thinking too much? Passing on that wide-open three was the final straw for him last night. He will get better. He will have to.

Belinelli? Great pickup. Believe he will continue to improve.

Wish DG would. He's been pathetic. Can't believe he looks at least as bad as Bonner when he puts the ball on the floor. He better learn how to do that in a hurry. What did he do all summer? Hang out with Cory, doing nothing? It shows.

He's the least capable spur to put the ball on the floor. I cringe every time he does it. Will he disappear in the playoffs again. Wonder what we could get for him & RJ in the off season? They both need to go. RJ totally disappeared against the blazers, wearing George out, just like he does Manu & Tony. Who else in the league would give $8 mil for this guy?
