OK by me. The T-Mobile girl, while hot, is either face chatting with her father, or the advertisers are trying to convince buyers his age that gals like her want to chat with them (on T-Mobile devices). Creepy advertising. English Sox Fan
"Francona was a .274 /.300 /.351 hitter and Valentine hit .260 /.315 /.326. So the trade is pretty much a wash."

... and the horse you rode in on, Neal and King. Bastards.
PS - July '04 at Baltimore with my then 7-yr old. Typical lights out game for Petey.
Tito. In a new york minute. He didn't schedule the hurricane double header, and that was the event that kicked off the collapse. Will never forget the looks on player's faces during those two games.

Will be peeking through hands over face, a slight taste of bile, because that's what they've been doing to me since '78. Can't help it. Bastards.
Felt it. My son and I started laughing about our baby SF earthquakes when the "real" ones are in VA. Let's hope we didn't tempt fate with our arrogance (so I will refrain from commenting on last night's victory as well).

bjchit LannyOlson50? Awesum! We're talking 220, 225 W's (hopefully one of them a WS "W")
and yet it's not available on mlb.com. Just how much do they suck?? Chris in LA
Good Lord, I'm Tek. Well, I got that 15th inning limp down pat. English Sox Fan
Pretty innocuous as gropes go, but the giggles in the booth - priceless!
Must we be mentioning the possibility of first place when we are yet again at that one game below .500 place? Mojo hasn't been a big factor for me since '07, but let's not push it.
I mean seriously, the Rays???? alexis_b82 jules
alexis_b82 jules Sons were born in San Francisco. The Giants are their NL team, but the Sox are their baseball team. This is how it was, how it is, and how it shall be. I'm sure your sister is a nice person, but she is clearly not qualified to help her child determine his baseball future. So this will have to be your job.
jules Poor Stephen couldn't figure out why all the adults were crying during the pre-game festivities ("the Bambino don't live here anymore" on the scoreboard pretty much did us all in).
Jules... "Pac Bell" to "SBC" to "ATT" so sucks. By way of revenge, we have started referring to it as "Phone Park." Nice F-U ring to it, eh? Otherwise, LOVE the park and I'll spend a good portion of my summer there. jules LFJeremy
Great post Red. "Best Opening Day, ever." Nice.
For his 8th (and my 48th birthday), my son and I flew to Boston for a long weekend culminating in Fenway Opening Day, 2005. Sox Mom gave up her new Dining Room furniture so we could make the trip. I hope one day he writes something as nice about that trip as you did today about you and your Dad.
Thanks,
Dan
PS - I had to set up a livefyre account as the "google" sign in wouldn't bring my avatar in, or let me select it .
PPS - yes, I see upon the hover... but that's no deal breaker to me.
Funny, I saw the "share" button several days ago, but it's not there now?
