Fallen into the 'buy all the seemingly decent oldies because they're on a free with decent stats'...then they turn out shocking! FM's screwed me over many times like that don't worry! Thought about playing two up front as well?

This instantly reminds me of how many people I drowned/killed with incomplete rollercoasters on the original Rollercoaster Tycoon - good job!

Good choices guys! Personally, I can't wait for Pikmin 3, when Nintendo decide to buck up their ideas and release the thing, and Total War: Rome II, because the original was top quality and by far the best era.  Not too sure what else so far!

Great post guys!  Personally, I'm gonna give it a while to see whether the launch games are any good.  Really, it's the gameplay that's gonna make the next gen consoles for me.  I'm not totally convinced by the Wii U so far, but I can't see the new Xbox or PS4 doing anything outrageous and sticking to the tried and tested.  So in that sense, it doesn't seem worth the hassle for a while, as the graphics on this gen consoles are pretty neat anyway!

@KirstySays That sounds pretty awesome I'll give you that! What programming language are you using to code that then? :)  It's pretty crazy how one wrong thing in the code usually messes things up...you must have the patience of a saint!  Good luck with it anyway :)

Good luck with your university degree! I tried a bit of general programming but wow, I know where you're coming from with regards to the constant testing!  I think my brain would melt trying to code something like Skyrim...

@PaulIzod  @KirstySays  @alextweedehands Yeah, it's a shame how much the AC series has gone downhill, it's such a cash cow nowadays.  I think the only saving grace is the multiplayer and even then, I don't think its as good as Brotherhood's.

Really good read!  I think it got reviewed better than what you give credit for, but the general point that companies play it safe and churn out sequel after sequel is worrying really, in terms of originality in games - eventually we're going to get sick of it.  Maybe it has something to do with this generation of online multiplayer, the need to play the same game as your friends, it's pretty tough to put your finger on it isn't it!?
