Surely all video from a game is at least theoretically the property of the league, and should be given to the NHL promptly during, or after, a game, so that situations like this can be avoided.

BTW, did you folks know that Vitale also called Monday night's championship game, in Canada? Yep, and Dan Shulman had the play by play. See, we Canucks got the NCAA's international tournament feed, via TSN, produced by, wait for it, the WWW. But we could also see the CBS version. Such a plethora of pontificating pundits! Guess the Great White North ain't so bad after all.

We urgently need to get Sir Charles hauled off the tournament next year. Kenny Smith also would not be missed. What would be wrong with simply using Kellogg, Seth Davis and Dougie G., just the way CBS does all season long? They are fine, and knowledgeable too.
Why aren't Sir Charles and Kenny in Atlanta, and the guys who actually know something about college ball in New York? That way, Ernie and Co. can yuk it up without their embarrassing lack of actual knowledge getting in the way, and the rest of us can get some real insight between halves. Come on, CBS, lets put coherence ahead of comedy for a change, please.

So, all you AA investigative minds, why did I get to watch the first play-in games last night on TSN (in Canada, eh!), from the tru-TV feed, but with half-time, pre- and post-game content, and ad cut-ins dropped in by ESPN. It was all very disorienting, viewing highlights run over the ESPN fight song, then a ragged cut-away to the CBS produced feed, complete with the Big Eye hoops theme, and voices. The ESPN voice was some guy in Bristol, watching a monitor. Inquiring minds want to know...

Is there ANY chance us Canucks could use a beefed-up Apple TV to get access to ESPN streams, which are currently off limits to us, thanks to the nanny state approach of Canadian regulators and TSN? Information, including TV, just wants to be free?

You guys might have missed this, but I distinctly remember Vern L. blowing a field goal call last Saturday afternoon, in Florida-Georgia, using almost the exact same words Bolerjack did.

Now we know why the Irish disappeared in the national championship: They had the clay feet of their 'leader' on their minds, instead of the Tide. It was ever thus in college sports.

I just love WallyWorld: Hours and hours of hijinks like this, all paid for the taxpayers of Canada. What a trip.

It's simple, gang. The lockout is over, HNIC is about to return to the nation's (Canada's, I mean) TV screens, and Don is just doing what Don does: Call attention to himself in hopes of jacking up his audience. He doesn't care whether you love him or hate him, as long as you tune in. New idea, that. Yer welcome.

Yep, this makes perfect sense. A great illustration of the problem you get into when one organization tries to play two conflicting roles: Journalism, and purveyor of commercial content. The only solution is for said organization to stop pretending to do journalism, and leave that to other parties who aren't being paid by the people they are trying to report on.

Transformation, from one team log at center court to another? That'll be like watching paint dry. Try watching the transformation of the Garden from a hockey setup for the Rangers in the afternoon, to a hoops configuration for an evening Knicks game. Now THAT would provide some action.

Please, please, please, can we get somebody to sign Vin to call the Series again, next season, on radio at least? He'd be a big improvement on just about anybody doing it now.
