Let's be real for a second. I can't balance a spoon on my nose and this guy is balancing a ballerina (in action!) on HIS HEAD. Amazing.

It seems so silly and borderline juvenile that corporations can't give the book to their executives because the word "sucks" is in the title. What happened to never judge a book by it's cover? What about the valuable content that's inside?!

I too am in the camp that sucks isn't a bad word... unless your under the age of ten.

I don't want my children to say it, but they also aren't allowed to say hate, stupid, or crap. For the record they are four and seven, so these are still considered "bad words" at their age. When they slip up and use one of these, and they do... often, it's a simple correction of "that's not a NICE word, let's not say that."

But as adults is "sucks" really a curse word? Does it truly make you uncomfortable in everyday conversation or do you have flashbacks of your mom saying "that's not a nice word"?

My guess would be the latter, and let's be honest, spin DOES suck. I recently paid a $179 speeding ticket (totally my fault, I know) but it SUCKED. Big time! As I was walking out of the court house there was no other word that adequately conveys that feeling of flushing money down the toilet -it sucked! I'm with @LauraPetrolino viva Spin Sucks!

@ginidietrich thank you! I'll be working for ANCRA International - they manufacture cargo restraint systems.

First it's doors and locks, now it's cargo restraint systems - how do I keep ending up in these types of fields?!

This could be a great departmental resource as well as organization-wide. I'm starting a new job at the end of the month where I'll be joining a one-person Marketing Department and growing their digital marketing strategies.

I can definitely see this being useful for my implementation of digital marketing efforts and other tweaks to the marketing goals there.

Thanks for sharing!

@ginidietrich that makes sense. There's always a story... They obviously don't "try harder" so that was probably a good call :)

I'm curious as to the story of the suspended @wetryharder handle... It looks like they switched to @Avis in May of 2009 (thank you first tweet search!) Brand recognition? Too many negative experiences like yours @ginidietrichThe possibilities are endless!

Congratulations @ginidietrich! I preordered the book months ago and was lucky enough to get mine a bit early. Good luck!

@LauraPetrolino @kaitlynworkman I guess I will let you use it, but only because it's much more appropriate. I wouldn't even entertain the thought of 2014 burpees.

I was seriously wondering where you were going with that post... UNTIL I read the quote (which I also love, by the way) you totally surprised me in your turnaround. :) What an appropriate post for starting a new year of piles o' failure topped with the occasional success! Cheers (and burpees) to 2014!

@ginidietrich good to know. I typically just keep editing until my light turns green which helps take the thinking out of writing :)

We use Yoast and love it; do you know if it's been updated to reflect the changes Google made to Panda?

@bethhayden The few things I have tried have been a pintrosity, so I'm allowed to make fun of us! :)

I can't believe I undervalued the sway we have as constant gabbers about all things Pinterest. I'm pretty sure 75% of my conversations start with "I saw this pin on Pinterest..." I'll have to get cracking on our business boards. Thanks Beth!

Worst case scenario I get to play on Pinterest for half an hour at work everyday!

@bethhayden @kaitlynworkman  Thanks Beth! That's what we're striving for right now. I was kind of hoping you had a secret trick up your sleeve... I definitely want to read your book now, so mission accomplished there! Is there a way to track demographics on Pinterest? In my judgemental mind (I'm included in this stereotype, #pinaholic, so it's ok right!?) Pinterest is full of women who think they can craft, cook and DIY. I know they are growing like crazy it's just hard to imagine a middle aged man, read my target audience, perusing Pinterest!

I'm trying my best to bring these guys up to date. Slow and steady wins the race... I just keep telling myself that!

@bethhayden How do you suggest pinning for B2B services? The industry I'm in (facility services-door/lock hardware) is male dominated and SLOWLY coming into the technological age. Are "photo badges" that you discussed earlier that links back to blog content going to be my best traffic driver?
