Given that they've announced the LS3 for the export model, I suppose my hope that the local version would be fitted with the Gen V direct injection V8 has been dashed. And while I too wouldn't be interested in an automatic version, given that almost all of the G8s sold were self shifters the decision to not offer a manual isn't surprising.
