I love the Bay Area -- San Francisco included, and I've lived in Texas and NYC both, so I can compare and no way in hell would I ever choose to live in one of those places over the Bay Area. You'll really hate hiring when you have to compete with those iBanks you used to work for. ;)

@bgoldberg @DashiellMenard Oh man, you just stepped into the deep end right here. California has done a LOT for you. That entrepreneurial environment popped up here first, and largely because of the government (both federal and state).
