Ha, brilliant. I have to say I was confused as to why there was such a fuss about it. It's very nice and I can easily waste an hour on there but.... :)

Oh another good challenge Danny! Thanks :)   We are creatures of habit, and I HATE it when my local supermarket moves things so that I cant find them, but I get why they do it.  The point is to monitor what works and what doesn't. So if you only ever get a handful of folk in to happy hour maybe a re think is well over due, but if it's heaving and an established part of other people's routines then changing it may be a disaster.

Short and sweet and to the point. Without good foundations it will all come tumbling down around our ears. Thanks Danny :)

Thanks Bruce, I think we all need a reminder to slow down now and then. On line life makes us expect everything to be instant and that can spill over off line and lead to impatience out there.

Hi Danny. thanks for this. I am Dyspraxic and thus tend to see and do things differently, and creatively. This really is not always appreciated in orgs, but I am learing to value it and am taking the steps towards self employment. If it's good enough for david Bailey it's good enough for me :)

Wow Danny you are on a roll about this issue aren't you? I'm a bit new to all this but I can tell there is some sort of battle going on here with the so called big boys. That I am not new to! Hope you get your anger out of your system soon :)

Interesting Danny, this doesn't seem to be one for the girls! So women dont respond to "Grow some Balls" when all your other posts seem to have a fairly equal response from both genders. I'm not sure what the female equivalent is but I do know that women have the same issues.

People who bully and control usually do so out of their own fear of inadequacy. They have to hold on tight. A good manager/parent/teacher/partner/friend/mentor , encourages your creativity and encourages you to be ok about making mistakes. On my kitchen cupboard I have a card that says "If you haven't made any mistakes today you must be doing something wrong". We learn by taking risks. Speaking out and doing it differently is a risk. Do it! Do something today that scares you! Then you will be able to encourage that in others.

ginidietrich You're welcome! Ha ha, that's what I do best :) The reason I read Danny's posts is because he promotes good old fashioned respect and anti-elitism (or at least that's what I read into it!) and that is refreshing this day and age. It would be great if it caught on. Though that wouldn't make him a thought leader of course, as showing respect is as old as humanity, it just gets lost now and then in competitiveness.

ginidietrich I have worked with young people and communities for over 20 years, in many places and I really have to say that I think you are out of order ginigietrich saying that there are a LOT of dumb people in this world. There are people that do not share your opinion or mine, for whatever reason. To call them dumb is naive and rude. There are also a lot of brilliant people in the world that lack literacy skills and so are excluded from this debate. Be grateful that you have the skill, time and resource to express your opinion. Despite my skill and experience I would not call myself a thought leader or an expert, just lucky!

Really agree with this. Made me recall a show from my childhood where they said " never mind the width, feel the quality" (who was that?) . Also made me think about the fact that often the so called "popular kids" are often pretty unpleasant!

...and in fact it could be argued that there are no original thoughts anyway , just recycled thoughts! Or more likely it is just some people putting into words what many others were already thinking but didn't have time to write down.
