@P_F_P  @Woodsy Allen  It's...interesting. He didn't seem to know about half of the words, haha. He kind of did his faux-twangy thing he always does when he performs acoustically, and it was just him on guitar--no harmonies or anything, which gave the song a very different feel from the original.

@P_F_P  Fortuitous timing that I should stop by here and the second comment from the top is about Springsteen! He's been playing songs by local artists while in Australia and New Zealand. He played "Stayin' Alive" in Brisbane and it's surprisingly beautiful. The fact that he played "Royals" legit tripped me out, though.

Okay, I'm done now.

@Mathematical-Space Cat @Woodsy Allen Yesterday was a very basic overview of theories behind the start of the universe, what a lightyear is, etc. I'll be sure to tell you when/if it gets more in depth than that.

@Mathematical-Space Cat Hey Amy, I've been meaning to tell you that I have to take a science course this semester and yesterday we talked about galaxies and stuff. It made me think of you.

Also I assume the picking a fight thing is an inside joke I'm missing out on but I promise I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone!

@Lobo Yeah, my 8 AM was only because I had my internship that day and I couldn't take it any later. The absolute worst.

@BeastModeDoesntCare Hey, the L.A. Dodgers have 5. SF only has 2. (I'm clinging desperately to what I have.)

And I've seen plenty of Giants fans online throwing themselves pity parties for their abysmal season, so some of them are sad. They just shouldn't expect anyone to take pity on them.

@LA_Woman I guess not all baseball players are good at math (don't tell @SpaceDodger (ecstatic math cat)!). It's definitely 11.

@DodgerNoLongerLivingintheBay Hm, I've never seen him be whiny. Maybe I don't read him enough...I always really enjoy his writing when I do, though. I even find myself laughing at jabs he takes at the Dodgers.

@DodgerNoLongerLivingintheBay I really don't understand this bizarre moral objection to it. It's a POOL. Baseball stadiums shouldn't even have pools.

Seriously, people are just looking for reasons to be mad. I'm too ecstatic about clinching to care.

@DodgerNoLongerLivingintheBay ...I just remembered that the Giants are in New York. So I guess that's slightly less weird, then. I still hope they were sad.

@DodgerNoLongerLivingintheBay Earlier I walked past a couple wearing Giants gear--kind of weird to see two people in NYC decked out in SF Giants gear, but whatever--and I was in my Dodger shirt. I hope it made them sad.

@Happy Panda (Super Future) I don't think I'd ever heard J.P. speak before today. In fact, you don't hear most bullpen guys speak very often, now that I think about it (Brian Wilson not included).

I was watching the post-game celebrations and one of my roommates, who doesn't care about baseball, was sitting with me. They interviewed J.P. Howell and my roommate commented, "That is such a stupid beard."

Then Brian Wilson came on the screen.

@DeucesWild @Woodsy Allen @LA_Woman There are so many awesome bromances on this team. Clayton/A.J., Clayton/Zack (to whom I'm particularly partial because ACES), Puig/Ryu, Puig/Hanley/Uribe, Uribe/Ryu, Skip/Punto...the list goes on, really.
