How would you define "an ice free Arctic"? There seem to be various opinions on what constitutes ice free, with some scientists holding that ice free is <10% sea ice coverage of the Arctic for 30 consecutive days and others holding to no sea ice for two months. I'm in a Polar Oceanography course and doing a research project on the various predictions for Arctic sea ice levels.
