There have been a couple of times in the past 20 years when I've had to take prescription drugs.  One was for a bout of optic neuritis (swelling of the optic nerves), the other was for an episode of sarcoidosis (something growing in my lungs).  In both cases, the drugs involved were steroids, so I had to take Tagamet with each dose.  It's crazy when you have to take drugs to counteract the side effects of other drugs.

Also, if ADD and ADHD had been invented when I was a kid, I likely would have been diagnosed with at least one of these conditions.

I'm surprised that this clerk was allowed to have a gun while at work.  At gas stations where I've worked, even in the Detroit metropolitan area, that was a no-go.  It wasn't state law, but company policy.  The  top brass were all afraid of getting sued over an incident like this.
