I don't care who is and isn't on the roster, or who gets amnestied or what. This team is going nowhere with Scott Brooks. Plain and simple. The loss of Westbrook for the playoffs basically exposed Scott Brooks for what he is. A terrible coach who has no idea how to make proper adjustments, and sticks by useless old players too stubbornly. If Miami could play and give minutes to Norris Cole as a rookie, I see no reason why Lamb or Jones couldn't have gotten some important minutes, especially when we relied on Derek Fisher of all people for significant contribution. Makes no sense at all.
Keeping Perkins and adjusting the philosophy is all well and good, but I have absolutely NO faith that Scott Brooks will make that adjustment. I would rather amnesty Perk, just to take him off Brooks' stubborn hands. If there is not going to be a drastic adjustment to how Perk is going to be used, then I don't care what the economics says, he is just too harmful to this organization moving forward. It does seem like coaching is a bigger issue moving forward....
Does Scott Brooks owe Fisher money or something? I just can't understand the logic of playing Fisher as much as Brooks does. I'm almost to a point of guaranteeing that we will not win a championship as long as Scott Brooks is the coach.
I guarantee that OKC will not win a championship as long as Scotty Brooks is the coach of this team.
@Old Man Game It's not like Russ is lighting it up himself though, but he does play his heart out. Only 11-27. I'm sure Skip Bayless will only concentrate on that number.
KD always wanting to play and having to saw off his legs is a lame-ass excuse for playing him heavy minutes. Of course players like him are going to want to play, even to the detriment of the team. It's like NFL players wanting to play even if they are injured. It's the coach's job to manage the minutes and sit him even if the player doesn't want to sit. All this 'KD always wants to play' is lame excuse for a bad coaching job. Just on the recent road trip we saw that KD and Russ wore down at the end of the game due to all the heavy minutes. The minutes should be managed not just as a long term vision but also for the end of this season as well. Remember that KD and Russ have played the finals, olympics as well and had virtually no time off. We don't want them wearing down at the end of the season.
I think PJ3 can be a real asset for the team by the end of the season and going into the playoffs. He can become a great player at the stretch 4 position.
@OohWeeItsVelvetHoop I would still take Gortat in a heartbeat over Perkins
This game feels a lot like the Washington game...I just hope it doesn't end the same
Perk is guaranteed to be on Shaqtin a Fool next week
Yup. That's the only thing that Perkin's is good for. Looking ridiculous on Sahqtin a fool. SIGH
See, we play so well when Perkins is not in the game messing up everything.
@bmuelle21 Perkins shooting makes me wanna cry. Seriously.
@Jax Raging Bile Duct @AnonymousThunderFan @Steve H But we would be able to utilize Gortat much more than we do Perkins because he actually has some skills, and I think being out of Phoenix and on a legit contender would be more of a cure than you would imagine.
@cemitten Wow. Just Wow. Not only is he completely worthless as a basketball player, he is also delusional. Seriously, why the hell is he talking?
Man, just the sight of Perkins calling for the ball on offence makes me wanna cry. A gutsy win but still don't understand why Perkins plays so much. Does Brooks owe him gambling money or something?
Brooks will be the death of this team I swear...why the hell is Perk still out there?
Everybody including KD seem to have stopped moving....is it Russ or a team problem?
What is Scott Brooks thinking, keeping Perkins on the floor? What is with his love fest with Perkins?
