@Dion Shot First (Team Knee to the face) I have only played 7 and 10, they were both good but I liked 7 more. Based on my limited knowledge I would say 7

wow i had a teaser bet on the 4 college games tonight and ended up going with Kentucky -10, but was really tempted to go with WV +20. I thought there was a decent chance both hit, definitely wasn't expecting a 40 point blowout
@OBoy (LaFamilia) @OKC035 After watching him a couple time this tourny I would say a less long kawhi. Butler is a good one
@OBoy (LaFamilia) Where is D21 when you need him.
nbadraft.net has his comp as Ron Artest, but some of their comps have been pretty infamously bad in the past, like the Westbrook and Deshawn Stevenson ones
Yes the coaching of keeping Perkins in the game while the Heat went small

That is always how people have beaten us since the Heat in the 2012 finals.
Bench players always going to have lower D ratings
Yep Splitter is a great example. Pivotal piece for them in the regular season and in some playoffs matchups and basically didn't play against the Heat when they went small. That's why Pop is a great coach. Hopefully Brooks can make some of those same adjustments if we ever have a healthy playoff run again

I agree, but I also think if we give Kanter big money we have to play him in some small lineups next to KD when teams go small like we done in the past with Nick next to Kd which has been successfull. Or else I don't think you can justify paying him near max if he's either going to kill you or not play in specific matchups
That's definitely the right move, and our rotation could be amazing if Brooks pulled the right strings. But that's why I'm worried about giving Kanter big money this off season, since I don't trust Brooks to pull the right strings, and do you want to pay someone near max who maybe should only play 25-30 minutes in specific matchups?
Yep and that's the problem with Kanter. There are very few power forwards in the league who can mask his defensive problems, thankfully Serge is one of them, but even then Kanter is a big problem once a team goes small and Serge has to go out to the Perimeter like we saw in some of our post all star losses like the Pheonix and Clippers games.
I dont see how you can say they have done well together in any way. Kanter + Adams is -9 and all other Kanter lineups are + 6
And they have not at all been a good fit on offense. 100.9 Ortg with them together And a 116.7 Ortg in all other Kanter lineups
Essentially with Kanter and Adams on the floor we have been one of the worst offenses in the league and when Kanter has been on the floor with anyone else we have been the best by a wide margin.
So the Adams + Kanter lineups have pretty much been a disaster so far through 150 minutes. - 9.2 points per 100.
I think a lot of people saw that coming, they just don't fit together for several reasons, especially when smart teams go small on us like the Spurs last night. Problem is now we just don't really have any options
I think DJ will benefit a lot from whenever Durant returns. Those minutes to start the 2nd and 4th quarters with Durant in the lineup with 4 bench guys, I see DJ being good in those lineups.
Right now we are playing Dion+Dj+Westbrook to many minutes together because Brooks loved the 3 small guard lineups last year. Difference is Fisher was a good spot up shooter and didn't want the ball in his hands like those 3 guys, and was weirdly effective guarding SFs and Reggie might have actually been better defending 2s since he didnt get blown by as often where when we play those lineups this year we now have 3 guys who are negative defenders at those positions
Tell him that since KD went down, Morrow+westbrook lineups with DJ and Kanter off the floor have a 104 D rating. Not great but significantly better
Tell him it has a lot to do with Kanter and DJ playing in those lineups lately
When Morrow and Kanter have been on the floor together our offensive rating is 119.2 and our D rating is 116.4 lol

Look at offense
Hey you stole my comment
Random how? Someone posted a tweet below showing our net rating with Morrow + one of our shooting guards, I posted the stats of Morrow + our other shooting guard
To add to what I said below about all the Morrow pairings being good, Morrow+Roberson is +16.5
The Waiters part of this is pretty insignificant. We have been great with Morrow on the floor this year, I'm sure all his pairing have good net ratings.
Your mean like the last 2 seasons when our d was just as good as Chicago?
@DanielLawler @OKC035 @Poopy Jones *Formerly Tvaddic* I meant in the regular season games, but yeah he was phenomenal in game 3+4 vs them in the playoffs
2 days, 1 hour ago on Thunder vs Spurs: Pregame Primer
@Poopy Jones *Formerly Tvaddic* I thought his numbers were good against them last year, could be wrong though
@Poopy Jones *Formerly Tvaddic* @OKC035 Yeah, and Durant is a consistent scorer everywhere while Westbrook has shot much better at home in his career, especially from 3
@Greeed @OKC035 Unless Durant/Ibaka make miraculous comebacks, I doubt it
@Greeed free pass into the GSW first round slaughter. I was holding out hope we could catch the Mavs
Its funny how much different a team we have been this season at home/on the road. 13-15 on the road, 24-3 at home with Westbrook. We have always obviously been better at home but the splits in the past have been nothing close to that.
It kind of makes sense with a Westbrook led team since he feeds off the crowd so much. Also high powered offense weak defensive teams certainly are much better at home than the average team, which is what we've become.
@Dion Shot First (Team Knee to the face) @enoughofthiscrap We were good this season when healthy
@enoughofthiscrap Ibaka, Nick, Roberson, Durant, probably our 4 best defenders are in suits
@Novak's Fanny Pack @OKC035 hmm, 4 near elite defenders in their starting lineup
2 days, 2 hours ago on Thunder vs Spurs: Pregame Primer
@Novak's Fanny Pack @OKC035 That is not true. A better system might help a little but that can only go so far without the right players
@Novak's Fanny Pack Why should we not need Serge to play D? Or Roberson? Or KD? those might be our 3 best defenders. Look at the roster right now, it is devoid of good defenders
@GlendaGonzales Yes, thank you for that insight. No one has pointed that out yet
@RazvanThunder (#DionWaitersFaction) @ruggles_jestbrook We need anyone to play some D. Basically have a whole team of offensive no D players right now. DJ, Morrow, McGary, Kanter, Westbrook, Novak, Singler
@Dion Shot First (Team Knee to the face) Forcefully remove Lamb from that lineup and replace him with Morrow
@UnfortunatelyOptimistic I believe they collapsed pretty hard in the 3rd quarter last night. Maybe we make a little run with Splitter+Duncan. Once Diaw subs back in its good night tho
@ruggles_jestbrook Not gonna stop Parker if they put him in the pick and roll with Diaw drawing the other big out of the paint
The problem for Brooks is he doesn't really have an option against Diaw then to bench Kanter and I understand his hesitation there. We just don't have the roster to defend any team that goes small right now.
@Lost Ones(#blackpride) Vs Splitter and Duncan is one of the only matchups in the league it would work against, Pop recognized that quickly and its been Diaw in ever since
Was there any doubt that last Kawhi shot was going in? Spurs shooting 7/10 from 3 obviously that won't continue even if the defense was awful, but we just have no chance of guarding them when we stay big and Diaw is in.
Brooks doesn't exactly have a lot of options though with our roster right now because he understandably doesn't want to bench Kanter and having Kanter as the only big would also be a disaster on defense
oh my god we got a cal
This is a dumb lineup. The Westbrook-Augustin-Waiters lineups have been terrible this season. Morrow needs to be in for one of them. And Kanter-Adams pairing when Diaw is in is just not going to work
That might have been the worst call of the season. That ref should be fired
2 days, 3 hours ago on Thunder vs Spurs: Pregame Primer
Diaw got McGary in the post twice, but his rotational and PnR D continues to improve. I see why people said he had Nick Collison defensive potential pre draft. He really needs to play with a rim protector tho
Refs really let them play that quarter, there were like 3 total fouls. Probably hurt us since Westbrook got hit on several drives and on a different night could have like 8 FTs already
No one else wanted him? Lol

Funny stat, Trey Burke assisted Kanter 44 times in 49 games. Westbrook has assisted him 45 times in 14 games
