I had guys like this in the army. Starched BDU's, Spit shined boots, stupid facts, 1SG would have an inspection and the best got off early on friday. I told mine that they better have a uniform they could change into that was for getting dirty, because 20 minutes after formation, the winners in my platoon were belly in the dirt cleaning the belly plugs and drip pans from under the tracks.
You could get some of them hospital bootes or some MOPP boots. But the filth is so deep you might need a level 4 full containment suit.
Sinclair is a poser. He is pissed because he only got 1 shiny star. They have, well one had, 4.
Besides, with looks like that the only way he was getting a date is by providing promotion incentives.
We have not even begun to uncover the list of females that were lined up, looking for a better OER or a medal.

They don't know 5's and 25's. Well that is bull because it is 0's, 5's, and 25's. That Marines needs to be retrained. That is the real travisty here.
The DMV needs to have a sniper lane, and walk through lane and and driving lane for CIED. Damn civilians need to know what they are up against. Every County needs a fully certified instructor and they need to have level one classes in high school. WE MUST BE VIGILANT!

You said a magic word "Crypto". And pretty much that makes your dad someone who worked in intelligence, communications, or all at once possibly and depending upon which of those means that you might just not get a whole lot of information or if you do its going to be seriously edited. The military does not throw away stuff that works and your dad could have been working something that still is in use or is in use because while the first world countries have better, the third world might be using it.

As for the rest, you are going to have to find someone Navy. I can tell the big ones apart from the little ones but that is about it. Honor Guard might be for good stuff; when the Army said Honor Guard it was about being in a parade or ceremony for dignitaries or something like that. Thats Army though. I have no idea what that means for Navy. You can hit the Navy page at the top and drop a question and see if you get a hit.
Don't know about copies of ID Cards. That is not going to be in there unless he had an official photo.
Did your dad retire? If so, there are retirement offices at military bases. They might be able to provide you with more assistance if you can contact them. For that matter they might be able to help even if he did not retire.

Also SF180 is the form you can download, print and send to the address listed on the form by branch of service to request documents. However, there was a fire in the records depot and some records were damaged or destroyed. I have no idea if that would effect your search but jut letting you know.

You want to take out some angst on someone feel free. That is what we do here. But unless the forum is about a joke on PTSD such as the Reaper, which I don't believe you even read, it’s not a joke. It is hard enough for vets to seek help as it is precisely because people make jokes about it.

I don't see that happening. His "integrity" in confessing shields him. If he does speak about Benghazi, we will only have his word. He has therefore set the stage that everyone will believe everything he has to say, and both he and the administration can spin it any direction that they want. Yes that is paranoid and wrapping your head around it makes you distrust everything. I spent a lot of time looking at patterns of what bad people were doing so I could anticipate what was going on. This smells worse than a pig rendering plant in summer.
I was interested when he left his command over both operations in the Middle East and took over Afghanistan at the order of the president. Then he moves right on in to the director of the CIA. Remember, the President gets to pick the key positions that work for him. So here is a General who is hand selected to take over the CIA under Obama. Some interesting things happed while he was there and some of them we only have the public acknowledgement of not any accurate details. Now three days after the election, he requests to resign because he had an affair.
Patraeus is a highly intelligent individual. As a man I realize that loss of blood can occur to the brain at certain moments and affect judgment and decision making skills. But the affair was discovered because the mistress sent threatening emails to another woman at the CIA. Bright people can do dumb things just like everyone else but this all fits a pattern of convenience that screams planned operation to me.
He can "tell the truth" and everyone will buy his version because it looks like he has nothing to gain and is an individual with integrity. Like I said, he is now bullet proof.
"Spoil the joke". You could beat half these people to death with a Clue hammer and they still would not get it. And you did not vote? Shame on you. I voted for myself as a write in candidate.
Patreaus just became Obama's SAPI Plate. The media firestorm will be focused on the titillating dirt of an affair and never look at Bengazi with any interest. Why? Because America is morally bankrupt and feels good when others fall. Sort of like standing next to a really fat person in order to look thinner in comparison.
The timing on this was better than a Fred Astaire dance number. Congress has had its teeth pulled. Patreaus is the "leader of the surge", took a positional demotion in order to assume command over Afghanistan when McCrystal was canned, and then slid right on over to the CIA without skipping a beat. Oh and his wife works for the Administration.
You don't make moves like that unless you KNOW you are bullet proof. AND his integrity is not in question because he "confessed". He showed "dignity, and courage" in admitting his moral weakness. In short, no one can touch him because he planned his exit. Obama is at a nice comfortable distance from the entire thing and no one is looking at any of the politics surrounding the events because the public has the attention span of a nat.
They are going to spend the next few weeks talking about Patreaus, who is safely gone, and by the time they try and get back on topic, no one will care.
This is call diversion and misdirection. He was a good general. He knows how to advance and retreat while defending his key areas.
