@theDing @Chris Sherrill The reason why cities like Washington DC, Boston, and now Chicago have tried to stop Uber is because the cab companies have powerful political clout and they don't like anyone getting a piece of the action. Uber is awesome and I bet that someone in Chicago politics is a fan of the service so this issue will go away soon enough.
