I love this build. Amazing work. And I especially love the fact that with all the panels on it, it looks like a lowered hilux with a cage.

How is fast and the furious winning? I don't even consider them car movies, they're just action movies with more than the average amount of cars in them

Two amazing volvo wagons? How ever will I choose... By which I mean the v8 240. My dream car.

Where do I start? Le Mans, Bullitt, Original Gone in 60 seconds, From Dust to Glory, Love the Beast, surprisingly Hit and Run, Death Race 2000, and of course who could forget C'était un rendez-vous. When I want to watch a car movie, or my day has been especially crappy, I watch one of these and it makes me happy. And just as a side note, can I say how surprisingly amazing hit and run was. Saw it on a whim, and was completely blown away.

I never understood why car guys love wagons more than normal people. That being said I love wagons, they are the epitome of cool, especially a fast one.

This movie is epically perfect. I love the fact that there's all of 20 words in the entire script. Definitely shows how much of a car guy Steve McQueen was.

@Kuncle last year for the ragtop was '63 in America, but in Europe you could get it till '67. That being said a lot of people have retrofitted them. And by a lot, I mean a LOT. My dads '62 wasn't originally a rag, but was converted with aftermarket kit. They can be done well enough to look stock.

I don't know why the herbie says 1969 it looks a whole lot more like 1965-66. Also you have no idea how rare those carbs on that engine are. Its actually a head carb combo. It actually gave those early 36hp engines as much horsepower as the late model engines. They're called okrasa, and a repo set are more than $1000. May not seem like much, but on a beetle that's a lot.

Being a acvw guy, flat four produces amazing parts. Alot of vintage empi reproductions, and some bitchin', albeit expensive, exhaust systems.

Those aren't slot cars, they're mini 4wd cars. I used to race them all the time with my dad. I think I even still have a few, and a dyno for them

I think, after reading most of the comments, that in a perfect world we would all have a roaring na engine, but a turbo is cheaper to get high hp, and easier to get high mpg. I'd love a v8, but I can't afford the gas, which is why I drive a turbo 4 cylinder gti
1 year, 11 months ago on Poll: Forced Induction Vs. Na
Like everyone else, this is a tough choice. I've owned both, and I love my turbo gti. It's great to get good hp, and good mpg. But I've always preferred the sound of a na motor. I think if you want massive hp, boosting is the best/cheapest way to go. But if you're comparing two motors, both the same hp, I'd have to go na. Plus I still know guys who consider turbos "cheating," lol.
This is a difficult one. If I had to pick the most iconic of the 80s, I'd say the f40, but if you asked my favorite, that would be between the 16v gti, 190e cosworth, and the gnx.

Ps, you're car is amazing, I love it.

Call me weird, but I've been dreaming about building a volvo wagon for quite some time now. A 745 with a t6 whiteblock, or 245 with a chevy v8, lt1 or ls1. I've always loved the idea of a sporty, quick wagon, but the m5 and cts-v are way out of my price range...
I like all the cars, especially that coe, but being a Vw guy, and that my dad had a similar year nova when I was kid, and that's my favorite color on a car, that nova ss wagon on Fuchs is pure sexiness.

I've never been one for complete show cars, but damn this thing beautiful. Plus if I was tired of people telling me that; "it doesn't matter, no one is gonna see it," I assume this guy gets twice as much as me.
