Eh. You can fuck the stadium all you want, but I think you're being kinda blindly disingenuous if you can't admit that it's a great stadium. Great food/drinks/sightlines/views/etc. Expensive as all hell, and hate the team that plays there and the bandwagon fans that fill it. But it really is a beautiful place to see a game.

Wow. That was a very violent quake. I'm in Napa, few miles from epicenter. All seem to be OK in my neighborhood, but our street is buckled and completely impassable. No electric, no water. House is completely and utterly trashed. A bit speechless.

@Uncultured Bastard @cabbiepimpin Pretty sure it's still there. Watched many a Laker game in that bar.

@Uncultured Bastard Grew up going to Damon's in Glendale...kitchy steak house. Assuming not the same thing?
I wanna hear Vin say bukake.

CJ Wilson detected the Higgs Boson.
Nice nice nice nice
C'mon Hanley. Do good.
I do the same thing.
CJ Wilson is also an astrobiologist.
This team is so much fun when Matty is hitting well.
Wilson has nice command.
@PagansOedipalComplex This is so, so good.

@PasadenaDodger He looks like the old Armenian liquor store owner from whom we used by beer in high school.
Weird. Been watching baseball for 40 years, and was not aware of this term.

What the hell is an "Eephus"?
I was at the Mariners Red Sox game last night in Seattle. Webster started for the Sox, and he got pummeled. Good velocity, but the Mariners hitters were just teeing of on him. K Morales had two home runs in his first two at bats. He's young and throws hard, but he really is going to have to improve on some things before I worry about him coming back to haunt us.

@Catfishfryin @cabbiepimpin Yikes! That's some pretty trancy stuff. I definitely would not consider this "hardcore" at all. Seems more along the lines of main stage anthem trance. "Hardcore" to me means the original detroit techno guys and minimalist artists. Or one could always refer to "happy hardcore" which is music purely for those who tweek out on various substances.

@Catfishfryin Big EDM fan. Who's the artist?
@Kewldood69 I live in Napa; we're so lucky enough to have daily access to Pliny, et al. Up here.

Seriously, Panda has to be the worst nickname in all of sports in all of history. It enrages me.

It is so much more bearable for me to watch these games on mlb gameday as opposed to the real thing. Get to avoid the golden voices that are Buck and McGarver. And don't have to see the gnat faithful full of glee.
@Mike Petriello Thanks Mike. Really enjoy your writing. Keep it up!
@el serracho Thanks. This site and the site formerly known as Dodger Thoughts have been my refuge. Good to commiserate with like-minded folk.
Hello. New around these parts. As a native LA guy living in the Bay Area, I've seen first hand just how insufferable gnat fans can be. It's very, very, very depressing living here right now...more so than in 2010 for some reason. At least I don't have to commute into the city anymore...non-stop frothing-at-the-mouth orange and black knuckle draggers everywhere. Go Tigers.
