I haven't worn them on court, so for just walking around the toebox hasn't been too much of an issue. I can imagine that stopping and starting and pushing off the forefoot quickly for any extended period with these might be a bit more abusive on the toes.
Nike should be working overtime to make these fit their signature player. Maybe even make the new, roomier toebox a NikeID option.

It seems strange that these don't fit the man for whom they were specifically designed. They definitely play-tested them over the summer, because there were articles here showing him wearing a taped-over pair of demos. Something must have changed between then and production. It's definitely a credit to their design that sales haven't suffered from Lebron not wearing them in games.
The XIs are narrower in the toe than just about any shoe I've worn in a while. I ordered a half size up from my usual size and the toebox is still a bit cramped. It's just the way the armorposite wrap comes over the top of the toe-- they could stand to mold an extra 1/8" of vertical space into that section. Despite the narrow toe, though, the XIs are incredibly comfortable, especially around the pivot point and heel.

These make perfect sense and look great doing it.

I never did understand the appeal of the Yeezys. The recycled Air Tech Challenge outsole came off as lazy and that weird spiky heel thing on the 2s came off as just odd.
I can understand Kanye being upset by Nike not giving him more creative freedom, especially in light of how popular his first two models were, but Nike can survive without him and the one shoe he puts out each year.
I'm no big fan of Y-3, either. I've always seen that brand as an overpriced, under-innovated collaboration with a rather uninteresting line of products. I also think the big, blocky Y-3 on all their products looks kind of cheesy and unimaginative. I wish Stella McCartney would start designing men's shoes, because most of her designs blow away anything Yohji Yamamoto has done for adidas.

This shoe is epic. The black outsole and contrast laces are a nice touch.

And Reebok keeps on killing it. I haven't seen these since 1987. Nice bring back.

I'm still waiting for Nike to release the OG colorways of the Air Trainer 2 (nee TW 2). Those were my first Air Trainers from way back and I loved them. Those SB models from 5 years ago were pretty sad.

Not sure if anyone here is familiar with the artist Haroshi, but this one is worth a look too:

Tinker is pure class. A legend who not only doesn't rest on his laurels but helps others who have grown up idolizing him and the work he's done and want to take it to the next level.

@jlitterello The sad thing is, adidas can do quite well without trying to constantly have a reply to what Nike is releasing. They might have had this knit technology first, but Nike seems to know better how to make a shoe that looks good with it, put one out first, and is still making a nicer knit shoe in a wider variety of styles.
If the competition pushes the prices down, though, I'm all for it. There's no reason why these flyknit things should be $170 when the construction process is entirely automated. Unless there's a high error rate driving up the unit cost (like in flat screen TVs), one would think these shoes might be cheaper to make.

Nicest EXT model yet. The leather and fabric combo here is clean and classy.

Congratulations to Sean for having a dream and sticking it through. Much respect to Reebok these last few months for really bringing back all that I loved about them from the start-- rich quality, plush comfort, and style.
The retro runners and basketball lines are incredible. And their collabs with stores like Packer have been excellent, too.
As one of those people with requests, I'd like to see the return of the original BB4600/5600/6600 hoop shoes. 4600s without any plastic eyelet nonsense. 6600s with that big plastic-enforced forefoot strap. And what about their tennis companion, whatever they were called? And iirc, there was a Phase Two tennis shoe, as well.
Anyway, great work by Reebok and best of luck to Mr. Finucane in his future endeavors with the brand!

@justwin More like $500 after the hypebeasts gobble them all up and re-sell them on your ass.

These are some great renderings. I'm particularly impressed by the Hyperflight-- a shoe that I've hated since its birth. This design is so much better than the original.
And I've gotta agree with caseyflinders re the Air More Uptempos-- another shoe I never really warmed to. It looks incredible in this Elite model.
@SneakersOtoole84 Somebody got a towel for this guy to cry into?
