i agree. I think it maybe harder to find a coach that us fans really want or dream about having than we want to believe. I am a u.t fan through and through, but i think it will be harder to get some of the coaches that i have been hearing about.
@kdlewis04 @HoustonVol I respect your opinion and actually feel in some context your right. I think our situation is alot worse then any of us fans realize. I do think that Dooley should go if the right coach is there and interested. I just think the only reason he may be back is if there isnt anyone who wants the job. Which is a big possiblity i think. But what you said about foundation is the one thing that bothers me about the whole thing. I think he has poured his heart and soul into this team and the players are not responding. And as we all know you have to win in this conference to keep a job.And if us fans would call for Fulmers head, who is beinginducted into College Football Hall Of Fame, then Dooley has never stood a chance. But like i said, i agree with you and wish that it would turn around or him. But i think powers to be will let him go.
I think it maybe time because the program is stale to say the least. The question has been asked before but are we any better now then we were 1 yr or even 2 yrs ago? I think Dooley is good coach and believes in the team. But does the team believe in him? Look at the breakdowns this year alone. It isnt like these guys are all freshman. Regardless of what they stories are about Bray, and that Hunter is wanting to leave, eventually you got to ask why. What is causing it. Dooley was handed a crappy situation and i commend him on working through it and trying and in some cases making it better. But the name of the game is winning. There can be only so many morale victories. Either the players respond or they dont. I think the question is, do U.T. fans want to hover around mediocrity another year or cut our losses and start fresh. In all honesty we are no better off than when Fulmer was fired. I think that is evident. I respect Dooley and his staffs effort, but wins are what count. And the longer we do not improve, then the more top tier teams pull away from us and the longer it will take.
