I'm afraid that neither neither yourself nor Farhad Manjoo, Kevin Kelleher or Adam Penenberg quite qualify as the caliber of reporters I think of when I think of New Yorker-style long form journalism. That's going to sound harsher than I intended it. I've read at least a bit of work from all four of you and I appreciate and respect your work and (hard-earned) status as accomplished journalists. You're just not there, yet. Perhaps it's a byproduct of working in the tech press, where investigative work is even rarer than it is in other venues. I will revise my judgment after you've gotten a few politicians thrown in jail, or freed someone who was wrongly convicted, or something of similar import.
