Fantastic episode. Off to buy and gift his book to others who I know would love to apply these principles.

Lewis this was by far and away the best episode yet. Alison's stories are incredible but the way she tells then and so clearly on every detail of her journey and adventures is what had me captivated.
I can't believe she only started climbing and getting into this at 30! Super inspiring. Thank you for having her on.

Happy birthday young man. Seems like you're wise beyond years already. I look forward to the next 30 years lessons you'll have to share.

Fantastic review. Interesting he says to not delegate, while I think there are some things you're better to hand off to someone more skilled than you I think if you know you do something best, and enjoy doing it and it's critical, then do it yourself.

@Dharmesh Yay for the male influence here - welcome my friend. Yes I think it's great to look at what other women and men are doing and how they live their lives and make money from their talents and knowledge, all the while travelling to new destinations. Thanks for your lovely words!
@DruStefanStone Not that young :)
@TravelnBeyond You are already successful! You're living the dream that many would like to as well. You keep on being a great role model.
@ChaseSherman totally. I can't recall how long I tried to target `All women entrepreneurs' until I really got specific abut exactly who it was I wanted to resonate with. Once I did that (still a long process of refinement) it became so much easier on every front - your messaging is clear, your purpose, what you write, who you are writing for and where they hang out.

@CSKahler oh you can't insult me for long :) Word have a ton of impact. Imagine walking around each day telling people that they matter. How powerful is that. Or that they're genius. That they are brilliant and they need to share that with the world

Agree I think you've made a really valid point that many people don't want to start using new tools because they think the learning time is worse than the time they will actually save once they start using them. We shall get to the heart of that! :)

@Usefulman.com Dan is solid and useful :) Thanks I had fun with this interview and really Dan just gives so much value always
@Yemoonyah 20 pounds that really impressive girl! I love not owning much. It is so freeing as you say. Each time I stay with friends or visit family I'm kind of glad they own all their stuff not me. I like being settled from time to time but accumulating stuff is just not my style. Welcome to location independenceville!

@creativeboomer It could be depending on how much you have set up. For example for our upcoming launch of a new program, I'm switching to 1ShoppingCart and starting afresh as we are targeting all new key partners as affiliates. Like anything you plan in advance and a lot of the programs/ tools help you to make the shift easier.

@LaurenRains I know I thought the same thing and it was such an honour to share everyone's answers. I love this article. It reminds me why travel, adventure and business combine so well for a rich life.
@TamariskSaunders-Davies Great point. I also stop people from saying `If I had the time I'd do XXX' - well have the same hours in the day, it's up to choose how we spend them.
This post has reminded me that although I have a clear vision for what I am doing with my business and achieving right now, I'm due for a refresher on where I want to take it and how many people I want to impact. My vision and goal is:
I ensure you find the intersection between your passion and expertise and turn that into a thriving and profitable business.

@ibuildtribes Well it's been a while but from memory this is a piece of paradise. When I say I'm from New Zealand to Americans and other cultures who have visited, they all remark on how friendly the people are and how breathtaking the scenery is. You can also add in the quality cuisine, amazing wine and relaxed nature of life. You must come.
@jacobshare Thanks Jacob. Hope you got my reply. Need your US address today!

I like that point too. A commonly stated `fact' is that 1% of your visitors and tribe will take the time to comment so always encouraging people to ask a question at the end of your post helps.

Hi everyone. This was a tough choice indeed. The winners are:
Lesley Machan - The Retail Doctor
Eric Silva - Show Me the Money
Jessica Lawlor - The NOW Revolution
Tamraa - See Jane Suceed
Jacob - See Jane Collaborate
Congrats and please email me your full name and address pronto through my Get In Touch Form http://suitcaseentrepreneur.com/contact/
Really resonated with this Nat. I agree good things take time and most 6 & 7 figure business owners didn't just make it there overnight, often there's been years of hard work behind it and often several failures that have all led to their current business model working for them
I still just enjoy watching you get jiggy with it!

@jacobshare That is indeed a double win. I agree, collaborators are where it's at when you find the right people who align with your values and passion
@Tamara That's such an awesome story Tamara and so glad you found me through Jonathan - such an awesome guy. NYC to the Australian countryside that's quite the shift! Looking forward to seeing you around on here. Congrats on pursuing your dreams.
@LesleyMachan That's a great reason and very generous of you Lesley. Thanks for commenting
@nhgnikole I love grilled or raw veggies with some olive oil. Great point. At the end of the day you need to factor in lots of other things like how much you exercise, what your body type is, your metabolism and what foods give your body the most energy. That said we're talking about some ways to make better choices when you're caught on the run or travelling for long periods.
3 years ago on The Traveler’s Eating Guide For Keeping Healthy Part 1
@strong.solutions.coaching Great points Gerilyn. I think many people get mixed up with what constitutes carbohydrates, as clearly vegetables and fruit are carbohydrates too. What we need to eat less of is carbohydrates such as processed white foods like bread and pasta and white rice.
It's great you brought up talking about essential and good fats here too, which are necessary in a healthy and sustainable diet. I remember my days bodysculpting and living off steak, chicken and brocolli plus cottage cheese! Fruit and salad were some of the first items to go from my eating list as they're higher in sugars and easy to digest (of course this was a more extreme and restricted diet).
@skooloflife@Rob I second that. It's all about playing a bigger game each day and totally believing in what you're doing.

@writeahead That is timely indeed. Thanks for sharing that article. It doesn't surprise me that Facebook's user ratings are poor. I don't think any other platform, bar Google deals with so many users and has grown at such a rate. Servicing that can be very difficult even with the best of intentions. Still that could be their new goal for this half of the year - to put customer service first. They could learn from Zappos

@TaraHolling Yes Quacking is only useful for ducks. It's a great story I agree and one that really can be applied to so many other business models where people think that it's too hard to change what is the norm for their industry. Just 1-2 extra things can be all the change you need to stand out from the rest. Thanks for your comment!
