@DeucesWild My life as a Dodger fan started when my mom took me out of school to go to my grandparents house (they had a color TV) to watch Sandy Koufax pitch game 7 against the Twins in 1965. My favorite 1988 memory was Scioscia's HR off of Doc Gooden in Game 5 of the NLCS - started a train that did not stop. Hard to imagine 25 years have gone by without another title.
@I Alivandi "Long Shot" is a good read, by the way.
thanks for the laugh!
It's a little sarcasm - lighten up a bit. It does, however, mean the offense is horrible, as I predicted at the end of the 2012 season. In 2012, Bochy wasted far fewer ABs on clearly underperforming offensive players than Mattingly did - that's among the reasons the Giants win and the Dodgers don't.
OPS Today:
Ryu 1000, Kershaw 856, Grienke 667
M Ellis 682, Schumaker 549, Ethier 724, Sellers 522, Kemp 564, Hairston 425, Cruz 209
Wow - 2300 words on AJ Ellis - that's just fantastic! Hoping for a great 2013 from him if Donnie can just not have Gordon and Crawford at the top of the order.
