Went back to episode 84 (http://1morecastle.com/2014/04/84-refill-machine-fresh-bear/) and the first ever Crazy Game Ideas was indeed Jason, but it was NOT the Dennis Hopper simulator. It was the multiplayer collectable card game of SPOONBATS! Where two factions (Spoons and Bats) battle it out in a post-apocalyptic world.

It also reminded me to laugh at Bailey if he ever needs to put his kid on a leech.

I've never touched persona games... I caught up on many many RPGs using the PSOne classics on my PSP and being able to play these PS2 classics would be the main reason for me to get a PS3. I'll get back to you once I'm done.

@Aggro Sky Pretty much my opinion except the fact that SMB was the first game I played. While Mario 3 and World are better, like I said, I'd rather play SMB than maybe 3/4 of the flash/indie games I've played so far. I'd rather speedrun SMB than play Super Meat Boy.

A sad day for overrated arcade classics.

What I like the most about the first picture is that Jason looks totally ready to announce Half-Life 3, then BOOM Bailey ruins it.

Windjammer sounds exactly like that game Phong plays in ReBoot. And I can't believe I'm saying this as if anyone has any idea what I would be talking about...

Nice job by Victor filling in and reminding me I should visit VGHC more often.

Oh, and I know everyone will talk about Jason messing up the showdown, but he got the last part right, even with the random question of the Grandma Cookies. Well done.

@fjveca I was trying to find something Zelda related, but couldn't. There are a lot of great moments in the series, but I just couldn't see any of them making the cut. Final Fantasy though, make your pick and it deserves to be on there.

I completely agree with its position and you assessment. I haven't played enough hack n' slash games, but I do believe, from memory, that DMC is better. But, seeing how many games came after it, play at least one.

I love this! Especially since it made me wonder how the hell did you end up finding 6 of these? I had forgotten FF6 and I could only remember the "after-story" of FFIV which is not even retro. I think Lufia had something about it too(?).

Alex did a good job as a guest host, so I'll fill in for the fact checking. You can take a break from it.

This isn't the first time Alex Weiss can be heard on the podcast. His voice can clearly be heard on the IndyPopCon episode.

I have to go with Bailey on this one, not because of the game (Though I'd have a hard time voting against it) or even the reasons he presented. Even as a plumber, Mario is not dressed accordingly: http://i1.cpcache.com/product_zoom/647000403/plumbers_butt_crack_shirt.jpg?height=250&width=250&padToSquare=true

That is awesomely cute. You could go for a Game Boy SP though. The backlight helps a lot, the screen is bigger and it plays all games.

I also had Pokémon Blue for the long trips as a kid. However, I personally admit how much I wanted to have Pokémon Red, the clearly superior version.

@Aggro Sky I'd have to add that Sega has the right idea on this. Those Steam collections are all someone with a lack of space for physical media needs.

@Aggro Sky On a serious note, as much as I agree that Nintendo is behind on all of these concepts (no GBA on the 3DS, really?). There's a serious lack of logic on all consoles about the digital content available. Nintendo's case is the worse, but PSN also has some sequels as stand-alones and other weird choices. Then there's the question of remakes and keeping their options open. I agree wholeheartedly that Nintendo is the worse at managing its virtual content, but virtual content in general should be easier to get to avoir piracy. Same thing goes with prices, in my opinion. If you can get the  Assassin's Creed trilogy for 15$, there's no reason why I have to pay 10 bucks for an N64 game I already bought 5 times.

1 month, 2 weeks ago on Dear Nintendo

Jason, I don't understand most of these points. Don't you have an N64 and a SNES? I thought everybody kept these physical media lying around.

@ChrisSwartz They made him next to impossible in DW3, but if you boosted your stats to the max and used a bit of hit and run, you were fine. He's easier to beat in DW4-5-7 (haven't played 6 or 8), but you still probably can't beat him the first time you meet him. You need to raise your character a bit.

I use inverted controls. What do you have against inverted controls? Do I have to make a column about it?

I can't say much about the other games, but Metroid Prime? Metroid Prime is an example on how Z-targeting should be used. It uses Z-targeting 100 times better than any other games. It helps Metroid Prime so much.

Z-Targeting allowed newcomers to the FPS genre to actually play the game instead of saying "Shit I suck at dual analogs" and turning off the game. Also, by having Z-targeting facilitating the FPS part, you can concentrate on platforming and exploration. Finally, saving the second analog to switch between power-ups is way more useful in this type of game than the dual analog setup.

And, in conclusion, bagged milk. Congrats on 100 episodes gentlemen!
