This is not the company that built the HP 41C calculator. I've had one since the 80's. I even dropped it in water once. It still works fine. Last year I bought an HP Photosmart 7510 printer. It spits the printed pages on the floor. I don't use the color inks for day to day printing. I save them for photos. But there's a problem. The ink evaporates ! That's right. Even if I don't use this printer, the inks disappear. To add insult to injury, once the inks get low, the printer sends pop-up messages to my laptop reminding me to buy more ink. This happens multiple times a day. And I can't disable this reminder. There is also a warning not to turn off the printer because doing so will cause it to work improperly. I turned off the printer anyway--just to stop the pop-up reminders. Needless to say, I will never buy another hp printer. And it is extremely doubtful that I will ever buy another hp product of ANY kind. I have an hp laptop, and I'm not too happy with it either. Hewlett Packard is doomed. I predict that, within 5 years, this company will either go under or be acquired. I have no idea what value (other than patents) any company would see in acquiring it.
