I don't have much of a problem with the camber, the dirty engine bay, or the stock interior. The only thing I don't like is that gross chrome everywhere and the ugly stickers/pinstripes. I reminds me too much of the stupid ghetto-mobiles I see too often in the city. But like I said, that's the only thing I don't really like. Everything else is awesome.
@JustinBeaverFever @this.guy.said I'm assuming it's because of the way people look at a GTR or 458 as opposed to a Porsche, especially the 911. When I hear someone talk about a GTR or 458 (or any crazy supercar for that matter), it's about the insanity and futuristic vibe you get from such a crazy car. Prosches, on the other hand, are more recognized as a driver's car, especially the 911, I'm not saying any of the supercars aren't proper driving machines, because they are the best you can get, but a Porsche is categorized differently.
I'm not sure how well I'm getting my point across, hopefully you understand what I mean! :)
There wasn't a single picture in that post that I didn't enjoy looking at, haha. Although, that Audi is gorgeous!
get white walls and viola! usa theme on a japanese car.
My favorite speedhunters article! Seriously, this really encompasses all the right things in my opinion. I'm speechless
All of these pictures are amazing! Terrific job! But I think Brent Smith, Tobias Nykanen, Tim Hull, Oliver Selzer, Matt Conaghan, and Budd Stanley's shots really stood out to me personally. They just really made me appreciate what was in the picture and that is awesome. Thanks
If I were in your shoes, I'd go for a cool sleeper daily kinda project. keep the interior and exterior mostly stock. Give it a decent drop and some nice period correct wheels (although, I'd stay away from watanabes). Then go a little more crazy in the engine bay.
Of course it's not my car or my money so I have no real say in the decisions made haha. Good luck with getting this pieced back together! You're off to a great start and I can't wait to see more.
@speedhunters_dino It seems very un-japanese like from what I thought their culture was all about. I mean, if there's one thing you should cheap out on, it's the breaks haha.
A supercar has only one requirement. That is, if there tons of young kids throwing pictures of it up on their wall dreaming of owning one someday. He doesnt even need to know the name of it, its hp numbers, or how big its breaks are. As long as it has that ability to be wanted and fantiscized about by those kids, weather its our inner child or one of our own. Thats what makes a supercar
That Toyota Previa is just awesome! And those miatas all look great! haha I love the stance scene
I'm sorry, but the plastic brembos ruin an otherwise cool car.
The conversion over to all this electronic technology is scary. How long will it be until all we depend on is automated machines? Especially since this technology requires the care/service of an enthusiast, but is bought by (generalizing here) the people who couldn't care less about their cars or can't see the enjoyment in a good drive on a sunday afternoon....
I love this scene! After reading a good amount on all the performance cars, these posts really get me smiling
I'm also super glad they're giving the impreza line another facelift, now the best looking ones (04-07) will be cheaper!
ditch the super high hood, throw on an actual hood scoop (not those ugly cutouts), fix up the rear (looks like the BRZ end with some some body panels thrown at it), and fix the rear tails. Then they'll have a nice looking wrx!
@FunctionFirst people like you annoy me so much.
Just because you don't like a sport/style/trend/etc. doesn't make it a dumb one. I don't know where you think you have the authority to tell people what is right/wrong, especially in something that doesn't affect you at all.
I mean, I don't think you'd want me saying that just because I don't like whatever you enjoy must mean it sucks.
Or, to put it in another way, look at the Westboro baptist church. They are doing the same thing you are. Voicing their negative comments on subjects that don't affect them whatsoever(or very little).
Also- those RC cars are awesome! Especially that e30
Definitely keep the VIP! Sure, not everybody likes it, but isn't speedhunters all about bring all the different car scenes together? Plus, functional or not, camber this negative is just bonkers, and awesome to look at
@hanablemoore There's a guy around me (pa) that has some crazy camber on a lexus. I've only seen him once or twice on the streets though. The look is awesome, especially sticking out in a crowd of boring commuter vehicles.
I would love to see more of thes cars. Maybe the verossa is a bit ugly, but you have to admire the time/money he must've put into that thing. It's so intricate
I'm so happy to see VIP again! It was actually what got me hooked on SH in the first place :)
