Wait, the election is today? I thought this was a CNN farewell party...

Nice. After I voted I felt like I'd wasted and hour and a half of my life.

I usually vote 3rd party, but I figured the logic I posted above made as much sense as voting for someone who won't get more than 2%.

What do you mean, what? I voted for Romney.

 I did.

I live in Washington, DC. I was hopping to inflate Romeny's popular vote numbers. Maybe if he can win the popular vote and Obama takes the Electoral College, then the GOP will start to see how stupid the Electoral College is.

Probably the most meaningful presidential vote I've ever cast, sadly.

Funny, I actually almost wrote "Ethier" in that comment. I get him mixed up with either all the time, too.

I'd trade Lee, just not Lee AND Reed. Either/or plus ANY position players the Rays want. If that doesn't net us Shields well, life goes on.

It seems the whole idea that "pitchers break" implies you should stock up on your cost controlled arms. While I know Shields himself doesn't require a huge commitment, trading our top two pitching prospects for him seems like an oxymoron.

I'm cooling on this idea that "you still need them" ever sicne MLBTR predicted we'd sign Kyle Loshe. Don't we already have, like, 3 of him?

Pitchers break, Ned. Pitchers break.

Straight up for Figgins. At least Chone could be the resident pinch runner once we send Gordon to ABQ.

Buehrle deserved it, and that might've saved us a few hundred K $ in Kershaw's extension talks (not that money is an object).

I've been wondering if it might be worth it to "buy low" on Russell Martin, but since he'll probably want a starting job and the best we can do is a part-time position we'd probably have to pay a premium to get him to sign. So yeah, forget that....

I kinda wish MLB did more of the whole naming awads after players thing, like the NHL. Obvious we have CY Young, Roberto Clemente, and Hank Aaron Awarda (one day that award might be taken seriously). Techically have the Jackie Robinson Award (ROY) and Ted Williams award (All-star MVP) but no one ever call them that. Once upon a time the World Series MVP was the Babe Ruth Award. Might as well name the rest of the hardware.
