Wait, the election is today? I thought this was a CNN farewell party...

Nice. After I voted I felt like I'd wasted and hour and a half of my life.
I usually vote 3rd party, but I figured the logic I posted above made as much sense as voting for someone who won't get more than 2%.
What do you mean, what? I voted for Romney.
I live in Washington, DC. I was hopping to inflate Romeny's popular vote numbers. Maybe if he can win the popular vote and Obama takes the Electoral College, then the GOP will start to see how stupid the Electoral College is.
Probably the most meaningful presidential vote I've ever cast, sadly.
Funny, I actually almost wrote "Ethier" in that comment. I get him mixed up with either all the time, too.

I'd trade Lee, just not Lee AND Reed. Either/or plus ANY position players the Rays want. If that doesn't net us Shields well, life goes on.
It seems the whole idea that "pitchers break" implies you should stock up on your cost controlled arms. While I know Shields himself doesn't require a huge commitment, trading our top two pitching prospects for him seems like an oxymoron.
He'll be able to remind Ned that Shields is better than Loshe.
I'm cooling on this idea that "you still need them" ever sicne MLBTR predicted we'd sign Kyle Loshe. Don't we already have, like, 3 of him?
Pitchers break, Ned. Pitchers break.
Straight up for Figgins. At least Chone could be the resident pinch runner once we send Gordon to ABQ.

Mike Trout didn't win a gold glove, futrther proving he's the best defensive outfielder in baseball.

Buehrle deserved it, and that might've saved us a few hundred K $ in Kershaw's extension talks (not that money is an object).
it's for the best. Same reason I was such a big Guerra fan, I wanted Kenley to be available at any time.
Meh, I don't care. Nice to have League back.
By the way, anyone watching this gold glove shit on ESPN2? Someone save Ozzie Smith.

PICK A LOGO ALREADY!!!!
Uhg, now I have to watch something Seth MacFarlane was involved with.
@Disgruntled Goat @LA Woman
Just debating myself on this right now. I'm trying to get myself to like the idea but.... fuck Victorino
I understad shopping Ethier... but now there's rumors about signing Victorino? I don't even care about his 2012 stats, I don't think I could bear to see another innng of him in Dodger Blue.

Ethier for A-Rod and something useful.
2 years ago on Pay Brandon League, or Keep a Bullpen on a Budget?
Good Lord I've been here for like 8 hours.
Signing a vet as insurance makes sense but I'm also hoping FedEx will be able to win the job.
I'd like someone solid to share time wth AJ, of course that doesn't really apply to Martin anymore.
I've been wondering if it might be worth it to "buy low" on Russell Martin, but since he'll probably want a starting job and the best we can do is a part-time position we'd probably have to pay a premium to get him to sign. So yeah, forget that....
IF your budget is truly unlimited, then spending anything on anyone is never stupid, it just looks stupid.
Either way, I'm hoping Google-ham's, or whatever it is, creed that "pitcher's break" comes into play, here.
He must really hate Texas, like a true sooner.
This all sounds great to me since Ned's plan B is probably giving Brian Wilson a 5 year deal.
My fictional LA Sharks just got their asses kicked.

Here's what some nerds had to say about the gold glove. Can't field a ball with a calculator, boys.
@capnsparrow @Mike Petriello @GordonMoody
Go future LA Jaguars!
Girlfirend is stuck out of town because flights are canceled and I dn't have o go into work today. This truly is the perfect storm.... for me to play Madden football for the first time in years.
@DavePomerantz @Tony Fernandez @el serracho
they would've actually made for a legit contender in the main tournament had they qualfied. Lots of Jewish MLB players expressed interest in playing.
@Tony Fernandez @el serracho
Of course not! Israel and RSA already played in the Jupiter, Florida Qualifier (both lost to Spain).
Is anyone else pumped for the WBC qualifiers in a few weeks!?
I kinda wish MLB did more of the whole naming awads after players thing, like the NHL. Obvious we have CY Young, Roberto Clemente, and Hank Aaron Awarda (one day that award might be taken seriously). Techically have the Jackie Robinson Award (ROY) and Ted Williams award (All-star MVP) but no one ever call them that. Once upon a time the World Series MVP was the Babe Ruth Award. Might as well name the rest of the hardware.
@el serracho @DBrim
It would be pretty sweet if it turned out he was just trolling twitter this whole time.
does his cell phone have a "lock screen" option?
BR has the pretigious "25 most valuabe players who could be on the move" list.
Well anyway, we're basically SOL at the moment, unless Las Vegas decides to renovate Cashman field. But Vegas is also hitter friendly, so...
@el serracho @Mike Petriello
What about the MLB.com This Year in Baseball Awards?
But managers and coaches vote for them! Who knows the game better than them?!
I think ABQ's ballpark is fairly new. The other option is to change affiliatons but there's no ideal alternative at the moment
Apparently they're naming "finalists" for the gold glove now. Kershaw and Ethier made the cut.
Best one yet:
If sour grapes are being eaten, it's probably by Pablo Sandoval. RT @LGM_PR @DodgersGM Sounds like someone's been eating some sour grapes...

That's Hunter Pence.
Just threw this together for my blog (well, more of an e-journal where I just post random shit). Might've missed some typos but enjoy:
Advice for the Grieving Dodger Fan
His company is, yes.
Ask them who their favorite player is, 2-to-1 says they'll all answer "Eli Manning"
