Super scary!

As for passwords, I didn't know about stories. I've been using 1password for a couple of years now to generate all these bizarre looking passwords. The app remembers for me.

(BTW: since the newsletter got so awesome with regular posts sent to my email I find my way winging back to join in the site and conversation. It's a great device ! )

Good for you, Neicole. It's so important to take a stand. As a Swede/Brit I just can't understand US gun law.

@Danny Brown You're spot on here Danny. Definitely. It's a bit like "engagement" really. There's a lot of talk about the "e" word and like passion, it's not something you can fake until you make it.

Passion also needs time to be rekindled.

Interested to hear you've had a good response with the Samson. It's good build, isn't it.

And that's a good price too.

Hey Dustin, Yes! I have a stand up desk. They're very popular here in Sweden because IKEA do a great range of them available over here. I got one to help with my back last December and it's made a huge difference to my bac kand posture. I also feel more energetic. I didn't build up my strength or anything. Just started standing all day from the first day I got it. Sure, I eat lunch sitting down but whenever I'm in the office I'm standing. One tip is to get a gel mat to stand on. It helps.

This is such an important post and one that really resonates with me. I like working as part of a team of two or three, managing the whole project, but I can see that it's incredibly reliant on myself AND very difficult to grow. Now I'm going to go away and worry :=)

@ginidietrich  @Danny Brown Build it on Genesis! It's great code and has the SEO built in including Google Author, custom titles, descriptions and the whole shebang really. It also plays really nicely with the Premise plugin which is great for landing pages because you can marry it with Google Analytics experiments to test what converts better.

Do check out the podcast interview I did with Ann if you haven't heard it. It's one of my favourites. http://jontusmedia.com/why-linkedin-is-the-most-important-social-site-for-your-business/

@AnnHawkins  @Danny Brown Part of the reason I love Twitter is the immediacy of it all. My heart sank when I started hearing all this SEO benefits about G+ recently.

For me the bottom line is engagement and building relationships. RIght now it works on Twitter and through talking to people on my podcast.

@AnnHawkins  @Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Awesome comment Ann. I agree there's no one best platform for any aspect of digital marketing / communications. I think you have to identify your goals and then look at the tactics / channels you can use. And then evaluate, of course and reposition if necessary. I dropped Facebook after a year for my business because it didn't feel right. I've found Twitter and podcasting to work best for me.

@Soulati | B2B Social Media Marketing Thanks for sharing your perspective in more detail. I'm not so sure about how you see LinkedIn. My pal @annhawkins is a very successful consultant and uses a LinkeIn group to great effect. I see the same kind of energy there and engagement.

I'm only just beginning to explore what G+ has to offer so posts like this encourage me to delve deeper.

Exciting stuff.

Super useful post for newbies. It's maybe worth pointing out that a plugin like Pretty Permalinks lite will help folks too to create shorter, easily remembered urls for those occasions when you need one.

I think this is an interesting and timely post Jayme, not in part because I've been sucked into various discussions on G+ in the last few days.

My question to you though is in what way do you see G+ of value to companies, as the title of your post suggest. Do you see it having something more than LinkedIn or Twitter ?

@Danny Brown This is one of the things getting me interested in the possibilities actually. Quite a lot of podcasting talk going on there. I got more discussion after sharing a blog post on G+ than on Twitter or my site.

@jennwhinnem I second that emotion Jenn. I find that even combining accounts is super buggy. In the end I settled on using different browsers for different accounts. Lame, I know.

I've not really got into G+ yet but I'm beginning to see more and more conversations going on there that interest me. But what business value these have, I am not sure.

Fascinating ! We only got our first Apple store with a Genius bar here in Sweden last year. Actually, at my local mall. It amazes me how this inspires people to come from all over the region to buy Apple from this particular store. Hitherto it's always been smaller retail stores or in the big chains.

I don't know how it would work with BMW here. Audi is the premium German brand that's most visible in the market. At least now I have an excuse to go and check on the BMW showrooms !
