@BonzaiB Florida ends around Orlando. Anything south of there is just another Yankee state. You can't say hello to a stranger, everyone is rude and says yous guys instead of the proper southern word Y'all. No one even claims to be a Floridian even if they have lived there for 25 years.
"Harvard of the Smokies" love that comment. UT using academics as an excuse for poor sports teams while Vandy continues to rise in all sports is funny to me. Maybe the NCAA investigations played a part in that. As a Tennessee taxpayer I'm actually glad the athletic department is funding academics.
Vandy is finally doing the opposite they are starting to use that huge bank account on the academic side and funding the athletics department..
Vandy gets shafted. I love my hometown of Nashville but It's freezing cold in December and Vandy deserves better. Also hurts with recruiting since no matter the record they will always get stuck with cold weather bowls.

I don't see how you can say Vandy's Schedule was weak? They played the conference schedule the SEC gave them. Northwestern is better than 95% of the rest of the SEC non-conference games.
Your right the only reason I see Franklin interview at TN is to use it against them in recruiting. UT would be foolish to go after him as I think VU would open up the multi-million dollar trust fund to prevent him from going there.
The anti-SEC press is just waiting for Mizzou or A&M to knock off one of the big SEC teams. So they can proclaim the SEC as Weak. Funny thing is A&M's best player has never played a down of Big XII football.
@SevierVol His comments were not nearly as jerky or arrogant as JP made them out to be. All he said was it was a surprise and most coaches just wait until gameday to have this conversation. He was complimentary of Freeze for calling. Also he didn't even mention Bo Wallace's sister or all help he provided their family. At one time Spurrier didn't have his resume either, he was starting in college football at Duke and built his resume.
@SevierVol They didn't have to travel far and this was a real chance to beat UK. WKU has a huge alumni numbers in KY. Plus more UK fans attended because their team was an unknown they still had hope for the season.
the only school I see going after Franklin is Tennessee. Problems are Vol fans hate JF. Vandy will triple his pay before letting him go to UT. TN financial issues with buy outs ect will hinder that. Ark is a possibility but JF seems very happy proving his detractors wrong at Vandy
The starting times of these games needs to be factored all of these noon start times hurt attendance.
It's going to take an act of God for Vandy to ever get a CBS or ESPN game. Only 3 real SEC games and they still get shafted.
The state of Texas as the best High school football recruiting grounds are a myth. Fact in 30 years the State of Florida high schools had feed 10 National Champions 1/3 (UF, FSU, Miami) in that time frame Texas has produced one. Georgia and Louisiana also rank high in producing players.
Are they gonna make a T-shirt after they beat Auburn in Basketball? SEC rule #1 only celebrate beating Kentucky in Basketball, Celebrating beating them in Football is Pathetic and I'm a Vandy fan. Of course we are the only team to beat them in Basketball. Could be worse You could be UT and lose to them in everything.
The actions by Grantham don't surprise me but that fight in the lake was beyond disturbing. The guy could have drowned and the Cop did little to stop it.
