Hello darling! I'm including this post in my monthly feature wrap up for the Wednesday Fresh Foods Link Up - hope to see you there! xo, kristy
very true and interesting! i typically avoid anything with HFCS with fanatical resolution. anything hydrogenated will actually bind to your cells too and cause them to change their biological composition. um, cancer much? ack!
thanks for sharing with us at the wednesday fresh foods link up. i look forward to seeing what other seasonal & real/whole food posts you have for us next week!! xo, kristy
you HAVE to read Michael Pollan. That is a fantastic book. I also recommend "Bottomfeeder" by Taras Grescoe.
p.s. let me know how to the chickens work out!! i want some so, so badly.
homemade croutons always make me a happy lady. your soup looks great too.
thank you for sharing with us at the Wednesday Fresh Foods Link Up! I hope to see you again this week with more seasonal & fresh/real food posts. xo, kristy
melissa darling - can you make a printable of this worksheet? i'd love to get my hands on it!!
i don't get the vaccine either. it's been my experience that everyone i know who gets the shot, gets the flu! I get colds, etc but rarely the flu so why would i want to change that? haha
also, i view the vaccine like i view lotion and lipgloss (though i do use those). if you regularly use lotion and lipgloss your body stops producing its own oils, moisturizers, etc... because it doesn't have to. i feel the same way about the flu and our immune systems. if you take away its ability to fend off the common flu, you become dependent on artificial medical interventions. what happens when those aren't available anymore?
thank you for sharing with us at the Wednesday Fresh Foods Link Up! i look forward to seeing you again this week with more seasonal & fresh/real food blog posts :) xo, kristy
hey melissa!
i am also not much of a fan of green peppers. they make me angry, actually. but other peppers are cool :) and i love anything with quinoa. and sausage. i can imagine this would be a very good dish to use up anything that showed up in a fall/winter CSA box too - very versatile!
thank you for sharing with us at the Wednesday Fresh Foods Link Up! I hope to see you again with week with more seasonal & fresh/whole food posts :) xo, kristy
i adore the simplicity of this dish. and lentils are always a good idea :) i've never sprouted anything but have wanted to for a while now.
thank you for sharing your post with us at the Wednesday Fresh Foods Link Up! I hope we'll see you again this week with more amazing seasonal & real food posts. xo, kristy.
i love tomatoes no matter how many i eat! so we'll have to agree to disagree there ;)
that being said, i really wanted to make my own salsa this year. but due to a move across the country, it didn't happen. I did manage to can a year's worth of bourbon soaked cherries though. priorities, right?
