I love me some of those stickers! Especially the No Good Racing ones! I'm not a stickerhead but here are two of mine. Best Motoring Sticker came with my Drift Bible DVD when Autobacs opened up in Cali. The 2 sticker I got at Newcomb's Ranch

Haha this place is a $hithole alright! When I was growing up, all of Flushing was a $hithole with polluted waters, smelly fish and toilets that spew out crap when it rains. I'm sad and happy that Willets Point is disappearing but I guess it is the inevitable continued Disney-fication of NYC.
Also, I'm a little sad that there was a Speedhunter in Flushing and I didn't know. Would love to show you all the good food places and interesting roads next time you're in Queens!

Impressive farmers tan! Fiesta is really nice too. I think it's the funnest hatch for sale in America right now.

Awesome build. Can't wait to see this finished.
The back of the render (last pic) looks almost exactly like the back of a Renault 5 Turbo.

This is Speedhunters. This website is an amazing potpourri of car cultures and a Speedhunters car should reflect that.
I say you take a Japanese car and put an American spin on it. I'm talking 60s Dragster style.
Huge dragster hood scoop (the taller the better)
Skinnies at the front and super fat Mickey Thompson drag slicks in the back
A sick front rake
A Supercharger the size of the engine
Fender flares only in the rear
Capable of a 10 second quarter mile
And most importantly... a cool name. Something like Hellfury or Demonhunter

I'm a huge fan and love what you are trying to do. I was wondering if you would consider making a hot hatch supercar to compete in WRC/RallyCross/etc. for you next project? Kind of like the McRae R4 project that was cancelled.

Great post! I've driven cross country twice (NYC to LA and back) and it was an amazing experience. Still remember the first time I saw a tumbleweed and was like "wow, so THAT'S a tumbleweed." It's amazing how different parts of USA are from each other.

Legendary car. I'm so happy that speedhunters spotlighted this legend.
I remember driving this car in Gran turismo 2 up Pikes Peak. God this car was tremendous. I also remember setting this car with maximum downforce in the back and zero downforce in the front to get the car to do wheelies and go 1000+ mph because of the weird physics of gran turismo. Hahaha.
Thank you Speedhunters for covering a car that was such a huge part of my childhood growing up.
Great job guys! So many desktop worthy pictures.

@mbretschneider I second the Targa scene. You guys should have a Targa theme - Targa Tasmania, Targa Newfoundland, perhaps a look back at Targa Florio and Mille Miglia. Even add in Targa-top cars. Haha why not? I would love to see a feature on a Porsche Targa next to a T-Top Firebird.

My favorite WRC memory (I hope someone can find the clip) was when McRae flipped his car and caught on fire. He quickly flipped the car back over, used a fire extinguisher to stop the fire and then got back into the car and drove off. I could not believe how hardcore McRae was. Damn I miss his driving. RIP McRae!

Nice job Jun. Custom front lip looks real good.
I hope you make a hot wheels version of this car. Also, you realize that your name will be a household name forever in my household because my kids (when I have kids) will constantly be playing with the Hakosuka.

For me, any homologation model is an instant classic. E30 M3, Escort Cosworth, Jaguar XKSS, Lancia Delta Integrale, etc. Unfortunately, there are no more homologation models being made now. :(
Modern cars that I see being a classic in the future include the Boss Mustang, 4.0 GT3RS, Aston Martin Zagato, and the other million dollar cars.
I don't see the BRZ/FRS being a future classic unfortunately (even though I love those cars.) A GT300 inspired wide-bodied STi BRZ might become a classic (similar to a 22b) but I don't see a normal BRZ/FRS being a future classic.

@RodChong I LOVE LOVE the presentation mode. Two tweaks that I hope you guys can add in the future is the ability to press the left and right arrow in the presentation mode instead of having to click the arrows and adding a screensaver mode where the screens change by themselves after like 30 seconds.
Personally, I don't even notice the chapters because I read each article in presentation mode now. Haha

Pictures are excellent! Makes me super nostalgic.
I used to drive here often (when I lived in Cali). There's actually a spot right before you cross the bridge that me and my buddies had designated as our emergency meet up place if there was ever a catastrophe (like an earthquake).
BTW, my favorite SoCal road was Little Tujunga Road.

If the British Time Attack scene keeps escalating, in 10 years, it'll just be decommissioned F1 cars racing around the track. haha
