@Itchys2 @LastPilot ugh that number does not make me very happy :/ I'm still very interested in seeing a new technology in it's beginning stages. Things don't get cheaper, lighter, faster, and better without starting somewhere really.... I'm going to try not to think about that number for right now.
Sounds like what happened with my MR2's engine back in the day. The bore really is your best option. Should be fun! You have one of the more interesting builds on speedhunters in my opinion.
@LastPilot @Itchys2 What are the weights of the batteries an electric motor? Haven't seen it stated. The power is pretty direct from what I've read with an electric motor. Seems to assist the motor make a monstrous number. So I'd love to hear the other end of the argument. Seeing car companies make progress in new applications of hybrid technology is shaping up to be more and more interesting every day.
very amazing looking car, i can't say i like that center console. Although interiors are usually the last thing I notice meaning that the rest of the car is awesome!
@sean klingelhoefer @DoBeriault Car looks absolutely great! The owner definitely put in a lot of time and money to make it that nice!!
@Paizuri_4g63 @FrancescoDiGiuseppe Car looks good, should of been shot on a beach instead of a track in my opinion. Gives off the wrong vibe/lifestyle that we know this car does not partake in.
@roryfjohnston @SeanStott lol I would think submarining out of a harness is still a bad thing. I thought a harness was supposed to hold a person in place during all conditions...
@andrewhake change any car and it can become great at something. I think that's where this originally started for the poster. The car was photographed on a track. People will instantly think it's fast. That car is too pampered to know what fast is. He bought parts just to look the part of something. But hey if the world doesn't have pampered NSX's then one day we might not have any to admire. So it all balances out in the end I guess.
start with tires (wheels optional for some people), nothing is more important then what is putting your car in contact with the ground.
slight damage on the bottom corner of mine, it'll match my other book you guys poorly wrapped well. Your specially engineered box only protects the sides. How you guys have never heard of bubble wrap is beyond me.
@Rival Machine @FunctionFirst So a 10 cent nail to frame a picture with should cost 100 dollars and people should just accept it because houses cost money and nails are used in houses so expect to pay up! Haters usually make a poor argument as you are. It's sad you admit to having an education. Hard work and not bitching all the time are great qualities to have. But lacking common budgetary sense and believing certain books cost more because they just do is pretty sad. If you reply again, I hope it's with more intelligence. I just read the comments initially to see if anyone else noticed the shipping prices were a rip. Then again they damaged my last book as well as a lot of there other customers and never made it right so I'm biased in the quality I feel I'll be receiving.
@Rival Machine @FunctionFirst I bought a copy, I own the old book too. I'm fortunate to have the means. But yeah I recognize a ridiculous price when I see it. I used to be a broke college student. You think that people are crying about it and because they have an automotive hobby they should stop and just expect to pay for more for no other reason then the fact that it's a book for an automotive enthusiast. At least speedhunters attempts a valid argument. Your argument is just to expect to pay more for things because of the hobby it falls under. This isn't a car part yet it's shipping is more then car parts that are more valuable and weigh more then it. Your hating on people who are crying about a high price. Sounds like what people use the word for. You think people should pay the price and shut up because they are getting a real book and not a fake one lol. Should people shut up when they shop for house supplies at Home depot because houses cost alot?
@Rival Machine @FunctionFirst Car people order parts, they are familiar with how much heavy odd shaped packages can be usually. This isn't a competition of who has a bigger wallet because unless your bill gates your not a somebody. People want quality at a good price. Is this the appropriate time where I can use youthful language and call you a hater?
beautiful bmw, digging the functional look
Great article, I truly believe Ken is a entertainer. That's just the vibe he gives off. He enjoys what he does and he does what he enjoys. I respect that. I think he could do a lot more from a competition side of things but entertainment he has mastered.
@RodChong @Ivan hopefully the new box has bubblewrap inside, because the previous one came in a box of the same size and still got banged up because it was just wrapped in a plastic sheet. I still have no idea how common sense didn't kick in here.
Book #778 here
@hanablemoore @Antonis_K and that's exactly what we will have to wait for hanable. Antonis, these cars don't race in a class specifically against each other. Each car manufacturer has put their spirit into these vehicles. Think of these 3 cars as the cast of top gear. You can't cut on hammond because he'll never be as tall as mays or clarkson. Just because you don't like the way it looks and the price doesn't speak on it's performance characteristics. My favorite is the P1 but I will respect lamborghini for what this car accomplishes.
That car looks beastly. Wish I could drive it.
that's pretty cool
@Jared L @BenjaminSaucier @hanablemoore @Antonis_K lamborghini has always had good hp numbers, this engine is actually rated 40 more hp then an aventador. It is what they call an evolution of the aventadors engine. I'm sure over the years there will be special editions that even surpass that number. However the veneno has so much downforce in that rear splitter and front end. It's the most aero I've seen in a lamborghini in decades. Speed can be more then what is coming from your engine.
