Nice to see my pair of Military IV's made it into the pictures haha.
SN writers, PLEASE step your research game up. These ARE an OG colorway. In fact, they are the most famous of the OG colorways. Only a handful were made, and in the 90's a pair was sold in Japan for something crazy like $24,000. Due to their rarity, these were one of the OG bootlegs as well. They were SO rare, that even bootlegs were cracking triple digits when they showed up on the secondary market. Though I believe the gold glitter/clear sole is a new addition.
@NuttyKicks @jshortt @Bape_kid
Thank you. The only other color that got released was the red patent which was an overseas colorway. If anybody has info that would prove us wrong, I'd welcome it.
@Bape_kid If it did, it sure wasn't in the US. We got 3 colors here. Black/White/Gold, White/Red/Gold, and Navy Patent/White/Gold.
Yeah, definitely NOT an OG colorway. Beautiful shoe nonetheless.
You guys keep reporting that these are "supposedly" a Celtics colorway and then list something that is supposed to be a clue like the "clover" color, but keep ignoring the most obvious part...the fact that the pattern on the leather was put there to look like the parquet floor of the Boston Garden. I'd say that's pretty much all you need to see to confirm it's a Celtics tribute.
C'mon guys, that white/blue/orange pair is CLEARLY a nod to Kemp's time with the Cavaliers. Do some research.
Actually, in this case all "Vintage" means is that they didn't paint the midsole white (which they started around 2002). They left the foam raw, just like they did back in the day. Pro: No paint cracking. Con: They get dirty easier and are impossible to clean. Be careful what you wish for.
@HeGotShoeGame11 That's the way shoes used to come straight out of the box. Nike didn't start factory lacing shoes til the late 90's/early 2000's. I personally unlace mine to prevent the leather from buckling or getting misshaped due to the tightness of the factory lace job.
