@Stitch You mean post-2010 Giant fans? No that'd be sanfranciscogiants.com.
2 years ago on 2012 Dodgers in Review #9: SS Dee Gordon
The Dodgers officially need to win the next three World Championships to make up for this. Just one or even two won't do it.
I can't believe that Dodger fans are actually watching this. You guys are actually able to watch the Giants on TV without wanting to break everything in the room? More willpower than me.
"Here are a bunch of stats that indicate why the Reds should beat the Giants." "Haha, now it's 2-0, here's a bunch of stats that indicate why the Reds can't possibly lose to the Giants." "...Um...okay...but here's a bunch of stats to indicate why the Cardinals should beat the Giants." "Haha! Knew it! Alright, here's a bunch of stats that indicate why the Cardinals definitely won't lose a 3-1 lead to the Giants." "(sobbing)...But...stats...please...well, okay, this one FOR SURE...here's a bunch of stats as to why the Tigers should have no problem with the Gi...OH COME ON!"
Exactly my point. How anyone can still think the Tigers have a chance in this series is incredible to me.
Well, there goes the series. Good work everyone.
Of course. Tigers get two on and then swing at shit. Meanwhile, the Giants will get two cue-ball singles and an error for six runs in the bottom of the first.
@SamAdams ROUND NUMBERS MEAN SOMETHING!!!!!!
@Catfish-fryin' I would have had the Dodgers go 0-162 if it meant the Giants not winning the World Series.
"Dee Gordon was the worst player in the majors last season. But let's not give up on him!"
@EephusBlue The reasoning for this analogy is as follows: EVERYONE is arguing that, since the Giants won the division by 8 games, would have needed to finish 11 games worse to miss the playoffs, that Melky's WARP wasn't over 11 when he was suspended, and that the Giants actually played better once he was suspended, that the cheating doesn't matter since they would have won anyway. ...But...THEY STILL FUCKING CHEATED! That's like saying that USC would have won the championship anyway in 2004 without Reggie Bush, so it doesn't matter that they were using an ineligible player. Maybe they still would won have won. But it's still FUCKING CHEATING.
2 years ago on Unpopular Opinion: What About Yunel Escobar?
"A guy takes a class in college. For the first few months, he cheats on EVERYTHING: every paper, every essay, every midterm, all of it. But then, the teacher finds out that somebody in class has been cheating and arranges it so that it's impossible for anyone to cheat. The guy then takes his final exam honestly, and finds out that he actually knows the material better when he's not cheating, and aces the class. Since he knew the material better when he wasn't cheating, all the cheating he did before doesn't matter since he would have aced the class anyway." ^ I feel like this is going to be representative of the media narrative when the Gnats win the Series, as they try to address the Melky-sized elephant in the room while still having to "celebrate" the Gnats as champions.
@plaza234 @ThtsaPaddlin Incorrect. Even if you could have won without the help that the cheating provided...you still cheated. Having Melky on their team for five months while he was juicing still makes them a bunch of hypocrites and liars.
2 years ago on NLCS Game 7: Let’s Go, Asteroid
@ThtsaPaddlin Melky. Easy way to shoot down any and all Giant fan celebrations. It's not exactly unreasonable, though; if this was college baseball the Giants' entire season would have been vacated.
Watch any of Nic Cage's terrible movies and tell me that he doesn't keep you constantly entertained the entire time.
2 years ago on Shohei Otani Coming to America, But Will He Be a Dodger?
@Dirtbag_Blues Serious question: We all know Nic Cage is the greatest actor of all time, but are his best movies the ones where he actually, you know, acts well (Adaptation, Leaving Las Vegas, Raising Arizona, etc), or the ones where he acts intentionally-over-the-top ridiculous to make shitty movies that much more entertaining (Wicker Man, Ghost Rider 2, Deadfall, etc)?
@GoGiantsGo Of course not. But I saw Mike's tweet about him possibly getting 5/$77 and had a mini-heart attack.
This is great news. Much more importantly, though, OH MY GOD IF WE SIGN KYLE LOHSE I'M MOVING TO ICELAND.
@EephusBlue The only time I ever really get mad is when it's Giants-related. If he'd rounded second too far against, like, San Diego or something, I'd be over it. Giants? Hell no. Shit list for life.

I don't care how unfair it may be: Mellis needs to get an F-infinity-minus and a "How loud should we boo him on Opening Day 2013?" meter.
@Frank J Lapidus Exactly. So, naturally, my thinking goes, "WTF did these jackholes do to deserve this outrageous luck? They've been "fans" for 3 f'ing years!" And yet, the Gnats keep right on winning. Bullshit.

I'm sorry if I'm overreacting. It's just that every Giants fan I know (and there are quite a few) is a complete stereotype of the worst kind of post-2010 bandwagon fan that doesn't know anything about baseball but knows a lot about giving me shit when the Giants win/Dodgers lose. If the Giants actually do go all the way...the next 6 months will not be very pleasant. Just die already, Gnats.
Let's be absolutely, completely, brutally honest here. Is there ANYBODY that thinks that the Giants don't win the series, now? Really? You watched the Reds series and the 2010 playoffs and still think "the Cards got this"?
I'll be lying here in the fetal position until Sunday night.
@el serracho @capnsparrow ...No. You are rooting completely for the Cardinals to close it out now.
@LakerDodger24 Two good ideas.
@LakerDodger24 I'm just very, very afraid of the Giants.
If the Giants win today, Game 6 will be on Sunday, which will mean that my whole weekend will be ruined if the Cardinals lose tonight. If the Giants win Game 6, that probably means that they'll win Game 7, which will ruin...well, a lot more. (Please. Please rally. Please.)
@LakerDodger24 Reds were up 2 games to 0 and had three straight home games. Giants already beat unprecedented odds. Sorry, you can't throw any facts at me and expect me to relax.
Cardinals waste a leadoff double. The nightmare continues.
@IBBFTW That Reds series was the biggest sports-related gut punch I've ever received that did not involve one of my favorite teams. Just a nightmare.
You guys are more confident than I. After the Reds series I would believe the Giants capable of coming back from a 4-0 deficit in a series.
We're all in agreement that if the Giants win this one, they'll basically wrap up the series, correct?
Sigh. They just won't die. I warned all of my friends today not to crow about "TODAYS THE LAST DAY OF THE GIANTS SEASON WOOO!"...but they did. Bummer. See you in Game 6 everyone, hope the Cards can close it out then.
Come on, how many big hits has Carl Crawford had as a Dodger? YEAH I THOUGHT SO.
Would you trade Carl Crawford for A-Rod?
I now can't wait for Carl Crawford's grade.

Cardinal Charley Steiner went nuts on that Holliday fly ball.
Alright! Bases loaded one out! Oh, wait, fuck you Kozma.
@WBBsAs Can a brutha get a six-run first highlighted by a Kozma grand slam? Please?
2 years ago on How Do You Solve a Problem Like Juan Uribe?
...Just...Just release him. No more giant-ass contracts, no more $659487 trillion payroll increases, no more Carl f'ing Crawfords. Just cut the guy loose and eat the money. Please.
How bout another 6 or 7 runs here, STL? Or 6 or 7 grand slams?
2 years ago on 2012 Dodgers in Review #5: 1B Adrian Gonzalez
Longest atbat in history?
If the Cardinals came out of the rain delay with 5 straight home runs I'd be cool with it.
Oh, and fuck the Giants.
About what I figured. The second half of Gonzalez' September was admirable, and had we caught a couple breaks in the Game That Shall Not Be Named, he'd be getting praise all over for "carrying the team down the stretch" and "never saying die" and "catching Kony" et cetera et cetera et cetera (at least until the Cardinals infield-fly-ruled us in the one-game playoff and officially broke our hearts). Still, there was that first half of September, and that shit's tough to forgive especially considering we finished one game out.
@Mike Petriello #1: Dammit, thanks for reminding me how far the Dodgers/the expectations of Dodger fans have fallen. #2: Just a picture of the team celebrating underneath a post titled "Eat it, Angel Pagan" will work fine.
Thank you for not pulling the whole Dodgerblues "They win the Series and I'm done" thing, which probably jinxed our playoff hopes in 08 and 09. Yes that's a real thing, there's some hardcore WARP-related evidence to back it up.
